Hi man, great tutorial. In the second design i'm getting a weird warping kinda effect while performing the envelope tool. how to fix that?

Thank you. Really great tutorial, but is there a reason why you wouldn't just add a stroke to the shapes themselves instead of duplicating and creating more layers and therefore a larger file?

Thanks Kyler. Its just personal preference but a stroke works just as well!

I would have used Path/Outline Stroke instead of duplicating/copy-pasting the stroke, also when I create object duplicates I will need later I just duplicate with Alt-down then back up and while still selected I hide with Shift-3 then later when I need the object/s I just Alt-Shift-3 and they appear back exactly in place - you could do this with layers and show/hide too - that said, you get the same result, this is the power of Ai I have found there are sometimes 5 or 6 ways of doing the same thing.
