    You have quickly become one of my favorite and go-to channels for PB instruction. It's the "just right" amount of information. Clearly communicated and you don't treat the viewer like we're morons. Well done....

    Outstanding! Best video I have seen on this topic by far. If only everyone could teach like this! Could you comment on the grip pressure for a one handed attacking backhand volley?

    Great video! Really insightful that tension gets brought up. Tension is what I call the silent killer of energy. You lose so much energy so fast because the body needs to compensate to withstand the muscle tension. Part of my background is mma/boxing, so tension or lack there of is engrained into our habits. You don’t ever hear too many people in pickleball talk about tension relating to ready position and fatigue. Great video, but thought the tension point was gold.

  • @pickleballplaybook

    @pickleballplaybook

    Yeah that’s a great point. You’re quicker when you’re relaxed. You lose power when you’re tense!

    @@pickleballplaybook yeah sustained tension is all around a bad idea. Cool to see someone touched on it because a lot of people know tension is bad because it can cause certain shots to pop up. People don’t realize what sustained tension overall is doing to the body.

    I think I could have eliminated about 1000 KZread pickeball videos that I watched with this ONE . Great presentation on critical PB topics. I have never seen or read any reference to the position of the trigger finger with an eastern grip. Thanks.

    Great video. Austin knows how to explain PB technique really well. I know you’re busy, but could you do a video on how to line up players about to drive the ball? Is it watching their paddle, watching shoulder rotation, is it positioning defense on angles? I’m confused and discouraged beyond belief because I’m such a sucker on D !

    Great details! Like the reference to the pros and how they hit and their ready position. Are you saying you hold an Eastern forehand grip for your two-handed backhand ? Just want to make sure, because there is an Eastern Backhand grip too, and you just say “Eastern grip” not Eastern Forehand grip”

  • @pickleballplaybook

    The forehand suffers with continental. The backhand suffers with eastern. (unless you have a two hander) You can definitely hold continental with a two hander, your forehand just won’t be that strong cause if the angle of the paddle 👍
