    Good stuff! Do you shoot at 30fps always or do you switch to 60fps or a different frame rate depending on the situation. And do you ever shoot 24fps instead of 30fps for vlogging?

  • @Gemini_Connect

    @Gemini_Connect

    4 жыл бұрын

    We shoot 30fps to have some flexibility to slow the footage down in post production. For the same reason, we occasionally shoot in 60fps, but that takes up more memory card space, so we do it less frequently.

  • @Gemini_Connect

    @Gemini_Connect

    25 күн бұрын

    That’s a tough one, because it sounds like you’d have more than 2 people needing audio. Most wireless mic kits only come with 2 mics. So if you want the best audio, it’s ideal to get 2 dual channel wireless mic kits (so 4 transmitters total), and give each person a mic. 2 of those transmitters would need to be able to record audio internally, and then you would have to spend time editing the audio tracks together. But the simplest and cheapest way is to use a wireless mic kit and just hand the transmitter around to whoever is speaking.

    Great review. I'm curious if you have tried Saramonic Blink 500 kit that comes with 2 transmitters and 2 Lav mics's? I saw that you've tested other Saramonic mic's in your GoPro Hero 9 microphone test. I've never used them but it seems like a good solution for keeping the sound more level between the 2 of you. I also saw another reviewer using a $5 splitter cable with 2 microphones that let one person record on the Left channel and the other on the right so he could level the inputs in post.

    What a coincidence! 2018 I was in the Olympic too.. using my new S9 for vlogging. And the whole audio is J*NK due to the buzzing/fluttering interference noise. I only realized after flying back to India. I'm someone who tests things out thoroughly before using, and I did test it out with my 'rode mic go' (it worked fine) before committing to vlog that trip with the s9 .. and yet random videos had really bad interference. Later I figure out its a issue with the Samsungs with using external mic.. while doing multiple recording. Not something you'd expect from a 1000$ phone. The same mic worked with cheaper Mi & Oneplus phones very well. I'm sure they haven't fixed it in the s10 either.. only because it's only a handful of us who use the phone with external mic to vlog - you guys, me, and I saw only one more youtuber complain about it in the last 2 yrs I've searched. (hence I'm writing this comment in length). The # of people with issues is too less for them to give a sh7t. Although, I still think its a shame that it's a basic thing that should work flawless on flagship device. I know I'm gonna have a ton of headache while editing my vlogs of the whole Washington series.

    You might be able to get a mini mixer and mix the audio from 2 lav mics and then plug it into the Rode Go. That would work for driving in the car but not for moving around of course.
