    I have been lucky enough to visit Hwange a number of times over the last 25 years and love it there - albeit Sinamatella is now falling heavily into disrepair. The area around main camp is usually the best for game viewing - and would have been nice to see more of this area. Makwa pan and The kennedy’s are usually good areas and my favourite Ngweshla is stunning. Herds of Sable, lots of Roan and usually see lion as well.

    Hwange is a special place and worth exploring. So sad the facilities are not great but the staff do the best they can to make you welcome. it was privatised in 2016 to a chinese mining company. They started to put down the open !!! restaurant and renovated one!!! Lodge (which is now rented out for 280 USD not getting any visitors.) The company went bust and so all upgrades stopped. Don't expect any news on this before the election. Aside: it is a no brainer to stay at sinemantella a couple of days. There are acceptable abolution. (new tiles have been set up I think in 2015)..And ffS Hwange NP is a wild park and not Disney land.

    because the whole video is a nonsense: public park camping is17 USD pP + 10 USD camping fee an 3USD for the car. If you book a picknicksite eg. Detema than you pay 40 USD including park fee if there is space available and you book eg. via robbins camp. It is true that masuma is 170 USD but there is a et camp site close by for 50 USD per night (minimum 3 nights) Overall this video is full of mistake, Errors and mishaps. fuel is available at Robbins camp and also with a brand new station at main camp.

  • @NickfrNamibia

    @NickfrNamibia

    Жыл бұрын

    I dont think you watched the video....and it depends where you are from...prices differ. If you book beforehand you dont qualify for the reduced fees, you get charged the full 170. The reduced prices are applicable if you arrive without a booking and there is space at specific site...this is not guaranteed and like you see on the video if you watched it, i ended up driving to another camp because it was double booked. No there was definitely no fuel at Robins when i was there...

    there are more than 1000 lions now and 60.000 elephants. Even in January and February you see loads of them. Hwange is far easier to travel than luangwa. Unfortunately the presenter of this video was more bothered about himself than to present the park. Use my channel and search for Hwange to get a real impression.
