I love paintings, not only because of the beauty of them and the mystery surrounding the art itself, but also as you point out, the journey and the history of the frame and how it's all boded together as well. It's amazing when you can decipher all of these core details so finely. Fantastic video.

Having been in the business years ago I love the wealth of detailed information she is able to provide with her background. It's unbelievable the stuff that gets missed by everything from thrift shops to auctioneers. Dr. Lori is right, there are bargains to be found everywhere!

WOW, that's an accomplishment. I have more than 1,000 videos on my binge link. You've watched them all except 83? impressive.

My mother was an artist and she sold most of her paintings in Mexico city in the late 1950's and early 1960's to mainly American tourists. She died in 1963 when I was 10 and I have always wondered about her paintings since I only have a few photos of her work. I have looked for her name on Google and have found nothing. I even looked up how she signed her paintings ( djon) and found nothing. Is there any way to find anything out about her work other than Google? She did abstracts, semi abstract still life's, and paintings of the Mexican women. She even did a couple of painting of me as a kid. The Time Life building has a couple of her Siamese cat paintings. Vincent price even bought some of her paintings. She died shortly before she was going to exhibit in New York City in the Friends of Mexico show. Can you help?

I like learning from you and I think you do great things by giving us your knowledge. But I was wondering why you belittle so many people? People come to you and ask for your knowledge and you are rude to them. I would 5ink you would have more patience with your followers.

What did I say or how did I tease someone in this video that made you think me rude or belittling? There are many people who have noted that I exercise a great deal of patience. I'd like to know your thoughts.

It's not rude or belittling. She has a list of items to get through so she has to be efficient. She is sassy and efficient not rude.

I feel some people may fear that if they try to negotiate price on a painting it may raise an interest by the thrift store as to the actual value of the painting.

O.....M....G......I LOVE this woman!!!! Absolutely hilarious and brilliant. Does she have a TV show? If not, she should! We've had an impressionist painting in the house since the 1960's of a European city street scene (horses, carriages, petticoats etc.) that we always assumed was worthless, but now I'm thinking it might be worth a few hundred $$. What's funny is that the artist's signature says "Mule" which leads me to think it was painted by a jackass. :D Subscribed!
