HOW TO USE ZOOM - How to Host/Attend a Meeting [for Beginners]

START ZOOM HERE: santrelmedia.com/recommends/zoom/
Need to host or attend a conference and nervous that you might screw up? In this video, I show you everything you need to know about hosting or attending a meeting/class/conference/lecture/call online with Zoom. Zoom is a powerful and popular platform for online video meetings with great features such as sharing video, audio, screen/windows, document cameras, white boards, chats, and much more. There are several plans available, but to start, Zoom is completely free with a 4 person limit and 40 minute limit on meetings. You can choose a plan and host up to 1000 people in a single meeting, or broadcast a lecture to 10,000 and the streams can last up to ~24 hrs. I hope this video helps you to better understand how to use Zoom on your desktop or laptop (or mobile device). Thank you for watching!

Most of this is about hosting. That's not what I want. Join stuff starts at 12:03--and next to nothing in info, there. How do I fix my settings for attending a meeting? How do keep a calendar of meetings I want to attend? How do I get a virtual background like I see other attendees have and so on. If someone can recommend a video for settings as an attendee, please share.

Hi and thanks for the great video! I'll host a meeting next week and was wondering whether the recording option also captures the breakout rooms? There will be someone writing protocol of the meeting but of course, with several breakout rooms, it won't be possible to have someone writing for each and every of these rooms. Thank you!

It was too fast for me too but what I do with videos like that is in the upper right hand corner of the video before it starts is a vertical… Or basically three dots going down if you click on that you get options for the video. Click on playback speed and you can slow it down to .75

Hi, great info, thanks! Can I ask you a couple of questions though? Do you know if a person who I want to invite to my meeting needs to have Zoom downloaded on their device in order to partecipate, or can they also just partecipate online without having to download the software? What's the difference between copying the url and copying the invitation that I am going to send to invite people? I mean, what's the different procedure that the invited person must go through? You said that the free version is good for up to 4 partecipants and can last up till 40 minutes (min 7:25)? Is that correct?? So basically everybody who needs to gather more than 3 people needs to pay? Thanks a lot for your help!

I tried to have a zoom session with a health practitioner. I am on an iMac with Safari browser. I think she was also although maybe not. I was able to join and see the video but no audio. A window appeared and said my browser didn't support computer audio and that I should download Chrome or two other browser choices. The practitioner was getting both audio and video. We finally both went on and did the session with FaceTime. Was there something I could have done while on zoom to make the auto work without downloading another browser? Thanks.
