Good day to you Jimmy, it was a delight to see one of your videos pop up this morning. I found that I speak with a slight tightness in my throat, as if holding back a little. I found this exercise raised my awareness of expansion, opening my mouth, face, body more. Isn't it interesting how you can hold yourself tightly without realising it? I would love to see some more videos around body awareness, voice and relaxing the parts of your body in the moment you realise you are holding tension in that part of your body. For me it tends to be my throat and shoulders. Thank you so much and I wish you a fruitful day ahead, Marie-Louise 🙏

Hi Marie-Louise, and thanks for your comment. There is indeed so much connection between stress and physiological/behavioural reactions and vice versa. Our voice acts as a mirror to our state of mind.

Hi Jimmy . Thanks for the video. I have a challenge. Sometimes I speak clearly and full of confidence but sometimes I tremble a bit. How can I over come it at once? I stopped taking alcohol and coca- cola. These were worsening my anxiety.

Hi Jimmy, I am a coxswain for rowing, and these videos have been helpful for speaking from my diaphragm as I need to yell a lot and be loud and projective, thank you for the help and if you have any tips for people like me that would be helpful, thanks!

Hi there, I can absolutely see that you would lose your voice if you were not careful... The secret is all about creating enough sub-glottal pressure in the first place, then using different areas of resonance to project the sound. I’ll try and do a video about this. I offer a 2x hour ‘empower your voice’ session, which would give you everything you needed to know.
