I have this in my wish list. I can't wait to get this plier!

I personally LOVE wire looping pliers because I use them for both simple wire loops and wrapped wire loops. The 1-step looper tool is a great product and fantastic for simple wire loops. It's hard to say which I prefer, if you do a bunch of simple wire loops, you will probably really love the 1-step looper but if wrapped wire loops are more your thing (which is mainly what I do) then wire looping pliers are a must. I hope this helps!

I use something quite similar (two rounded tips) to tie wire salmon lure pieces specifically homemade version of something called a cable baiter for anchovies or similar to an ez baiter for herring. These things ( pliers, clippers and mini needle nose pliers were like $ 5.00 ea and Ive gotten pretty darn good at making these for pennies on the dollar for what is charged at the tackle shops - in fact they are better and I can customize their length to the baits. I enjoy it a great deal and its a great way to pass a rainy day.

@@beadaholique What size are they? When I go to buy them they are in different sizes and I want the most common one, the one for earring wire loops mostly. There are the ones with 3 different sizes on the barrel but they look like they may be a bit finicky. Your suggestions, please. Love the demonstration. You make it look so easy.

I accidentally ordered a different style of looping pliers from Amazon that has 3 different sizes on the plier part instead of being straight. I typed in looping pliers for jewlery on Amazon and they brought up the ones in this video with the straight part on the plier side. I find this very important when buying looping pliers, the 2 different kinds.

Hi ich habe mir diese Zange auch schenken lassen und es funktioniert prima.

May I have some help, I have no clue what I'm doing. If I were to make a simple loop at the top of a pin which I'd added a bead to, to make a pendant, is this secure to just put a chain through? Or would it need to be squeezed together to secure, or soldered by someone who did know what they were doing? Thanks

I'm getting me a set of these. I don't make jewelry but these will help me heaps with my job

A lot of jewelry makers still haven't heard of these so I bet they're practically unknown in some other industries. What sort of wire work are you looking to do with them?

I have a pandora bracelet that came with head pins, and tiny beads, would you do the same technique using the pliers? I am left handed, I tried this with regular jewelry pliers, the loop, came out you might say backwards, or in the wrong place. Love the vid.

Can you create big eye beading needles with that tool and artistic wire and crafting wire?

I finally understand why my loops are always on one side only.Min 2.49 explained everything. Thank you.

Hi! You can definitely use wire looping pliers with head pins and they might be an easier option for you being left handed.

I love mine , it makes all your eyes the same size.

In the video we're using 20 or 22 gauge wire. The pliers we are using are designed for wire up to 18 gauge. Thanks for watching!

Excellent video. I am a model builder (HO Trains) building a large model railroad here in NJ (about 400 feet of mainline when completed). I use wire sometimes for projects and especially use it for scratch building scale model bridges (based on measurement from the prototype bridges). I have two questions, if i may. 1. Can these pliers you used make a large circle, like the eye loop example you showed, only with the circle being about a half inch round. 2. I am trying to bend small gauge solid (full hard) steel wire in a U shape. The gauge wires I work with are (20AWG, 22AWG and 24AWG), which are roughly .032, .025 and .020 in inches, respectively. I am bending one end of the small wire 90 degrees and at the other end of the wire (about 2 inches away), I also bend a 90 degree angle. Bending the 90 degree angles is not too difficult, (with regular pliers) however getting the bends to be on the same plain (meaning if you were to lay the bent U shaped wire on a level surface it would lay completely flat in a U shape w/90 degree corners). That is the difficult part. Bending that second 90 degree angle to match the first bend so they point exactly in the same direction has been the challenge. Can you offer any suggestions? Hi Philip, great questions, I'll try to answer them as best I can. I've never seen wire looping pliers that are quite as big as you'd need for that. The maximum sized loop you can get from the pliers in the video is about 1/4th of an inch. The closest thing we carry for that sort of work would be these mandrel pliers which have a 12mm mandrel: beadaholique.com/products/wubbers-extra-large-bail-making-mandrel-pliers-12-and-15mm-jaw-sizes Working with those and a pair of flat nose pliers you could free hand loops that would be close to half an inch. For your other question, that sounds like the sort of work that would best be done by making a custom jig. I'm thinking something like a small piece of plywood with a 2 inch pipe attached to it, and a nail on either side of the pipe. That way you can do your 90 degree bend on one end of the wire, feed it through the space between the nail and the pipe, then bend the wire around the pipe, feed it up around the other side, and then do your second 90 degree bend at the second nail. Have a surface to work against and forms to help you shape your bends will help a lot. If need be you can even hammer the wire a bit with a rubber mallet to help it stay flat.

​@@uptownphotography I know I wish it was easy to post images here, it's tough to visualize these things, and I'm not sure if I'm correctly visualizing what you're trying to make either. Here though, take a look at this small jig we sell for making wire rings. What I was trying to describe was something pretty similar to this: beadaholique.com/products/artistic-wire-findings-forms-jig-tool-adjustable-ring-jig-for-18-24-gauge-wire You'd want something a little larger and probably much sturdier for working with hard stainless steel wire, which is why I was suggesting building one yourself, but that's the basic sort of tool I was suggesting.

@@beadaholique OK...I see what you're talking about. That's a cool tool with the link you sent. The "U" shape object I need to make is not rounded, it has 90 degree bends (like a corner) instead of a rounded U shape. It's more like what a staple looks like, except about 2 inches between the two corners. Does that make sense?
