Try not to use too much you will swallow it and you may experience stomach issues. It may happen although it is not very common

Update: The wax is a MUST! It’s works wonders. I put it on while I’m sleeping or while I’m at work so my mother doesn’t get irritated. I often forget to remove it while I’m eating so I swallow it but it’s okay because it’s harmless 😭

Hi not sure if you're still having a hard time, you may have found solutions but I find it best to have things like soup, mashed potatoes. Very soft things bc your teeth may still be sore and you don't want to hurt them even more.

This demonstration neglects to mention two important points...The wax needs tobe heated and softened, and the area on braces and teeth need to be thoroughly dryed, otherwise the wax just comes off...!!!

If the wire is hurting your cheek try using some wax...if it doesn't help ask your orthodontist for an appointment..i'm sure he/she will be glad to solve the problem!!:...

I have a tooth taken out and a band thing connecting my tooth to the back teeth past the tooth that is taken out. But the band thing is making my gum hurt and idk if i can put gum on top of it or below it where the square bracket things are?

Hi there!! One of my blue glue fell off alongside my bracket when the orthodontist were tightening my braces. They said until I improve my quality of my gums, they will place another bracket back on that tooth as well as the glue that fell off. On my left side there is glue and on the right side there isn't. This causes me to bite unevenly which causes cuts in my gums. Can I put the wax on my tooth to help balance out the sides that I bite with???

Hello Doggy...it's hard to say that because i can't properly see you...so i believe your orthodontist knows about your problem and there must be a reason for the bite to be uneven. I would rather if you ask your orthodontist this...because if you were here and you were my patient it would be my honor to see you and help you...but in this case i prefer your orthodontis to help you. About your gums try to brush them well and use a rinse with clorhexidine...that will help along with a professional teeth cleaning.....Please tell us what your orthodontist told you about the problem you have

Using it cuz I got 4 braces put but one popped out so the wire sticks out This helped me figure out how to get it on the wire that has been poking the inside of my lip (Appointment is set so it’s all good)

But the only problem that I'm facing is that it doesn't stick for long,it remains there only for 2-3 minutes,what should I do?

Put the piece of wax on hot water let it melt for a minute or 30 40 second then take the wax out of water with your finger and place it on your braces. Do it quick because wax dry out really fast I works for me and i will not come out until you brush it or eat hard food.

I have had my braces for 3 days now, but I’m unsure about the wax that was put on my teeth straight after I got my braces by my orthodontist as the wax is very hard and won’t come off my teeth.

Hello Cousin Fam...ok...pain after getting your braces tighten is caused by the pressure placed between the teeth roots and the bone surrounding your teeth. The pain which goes from very low to sometimes and depending on the individual severe lasts from 2 to 5 days after each appointment. You will feel it after every appointment you have but you will get used to it...so...you won't feel it the same way as today cuz today is your 2nd day.....The pain will not be the same after 5 months of having braces...Dont Worry and cheer up!!! you will get used to it!!!!! Please let us know if you have any other questions we must answer!!

Welcome to our channel!!! try not to forget to use wax if braces are hurting you......Ulcers hurt badly but they will go away..just use the wax on the bracket that is hurting the ulcer and maybe on 4 or 5 days you will be just like new!!!

Hello Monse...you are probably using too much and making it contacto your gum....the gum is gonna try to "defend" itself against the wax....so try not to press it against your gum and you will be fine...if you can take a picture of it....although i know its too far...if you can..please share it here and maybe we can help you more....Tell us please if the problem was solved

You will feel a lot of pressure on your teeth the first days and it will hurt maybe 1 or 2 weeks...use wax and ask your orthodontist for some pain relief that wont interfere with teeth movement....if there is a topic your would like us to adress please let us know!!!

Whats even worse is almost three consecutive braces being broken and doc decides to just leave them and then you get a long line of brace wire even after my cheeks got dense skin and got used to the braces the wire now hurts bad and it literally sliced my cheek

Hello Sarah!!! congratulations on your new braces!!!...try NOT to eat hard food...the food that could separate the braces from your teeth. Hard food will break the composite used to adhere the braces on your teeth so avoid them!!!...you will feel a little pain but you will be ok in 2 or 3 days!!

@@mustafa2172 change it after every meal... You could use the same if economics is an issue... If so.. Clean it well before reuse it. If economics is not an issue... Change it after every meal. Its better if you remove it before eating Otherwise you will be swallowing a lot of wax... And although its not a big problem you may develop a stomach problem. So remove it before meals and change it after brushing your teeth...or clean it well and reuse it...

Use it if it hurts too much... It is true that u will get used to it... But for example u will never get used to a loose wire stabbing your gum or mucosa. U may get used to the hooks which are part of the braces design... But to a loose wire... Use it if you feel like you need it. If not.. Dont..... Your question and comment are very interesting.. Hello!!! You may use the same as long as it looks on good condition or you may change it every time you brush. Its up to you... Dont worry it works. The difference is how much money you will spend. If you are going to use the same wash it so you dont place dirty wax on your teeth

Hi! Just got mines this past Friday. It is for if you have a bracket or wire bothering your mouth like poking or stabbing. Just making the inside of your mouth sore. You take the wax and roll it in your fingers. Smash it a tiny bit and stick it to the bracket/wire thats bothering you. The wax covering the bracket/wire creates a smooth surface so it doesnt bother the inside of your mouth.

I just got my braces on about 3 hours ago and I already popped off 2 brackets. I've just covered it in wax and am waiting for an appointment

I was just letting ice sit on my teeth cause it felt better that way and it slid off and I must've done something wrong because they popped off as soon as it slid down the side of my teeth

@@Izzy-vb8rv Hello Izzy!!! yeah..try not to put hard food near your braces.... i'm sure your braces are very well adhered but please do not try them...some Orthodontists charge for every brace you disangage. Imagine...a consult that would normally cost you...lets say 50 dollars now it will cost maybe a 100 or even more. So please try not to use ice or anything that could harm your braces. Please ask your orthodontist which pain killer you may use with braces so you could feel better!!...

I’ve had braces for like a month now and I can eat anything tbh. But since you just got yours put on I would recommend leaving hard foods or anything too crunchy for awhile.

@@freddyj4872 I just got my braces 3 days ago too and I’m eating mashed potatoes , yogurt and different kinds of soups every day but I still feel so hungry cuz im used to eating sandwiches , burgers , chicken wings and all the good stuff as main meals but i cant bite any thing so its difficult to handle that change in eating but i think this will last for only two to three weeks and we’ll be able to get back to our normal eating style + im so sorry if my grammar is bad cuz English isn’t my first language but i hope i was clear enough ☺️

I legit roll up a quarter of a wax block and stick on the top and sides of my side brackets, it’s the only way I can talk

I just got braces recently and I was wondering what you do with the wax once you finished using a piece. I would assume you’d throw it away but just making sure you didn’t reuse the wax.

Hello Emma...the correct way to do it is to dispose it...but in case you don't have many wax...try to clean it and then you will be able to use it again...but again...the best option is to throw it away and use new wax

okay but there's layers, it won't stick, my bracket isn't attached to my tooth, and the tooth it detached from is still really crooked, it grew in almost sideways and I'm still really early in my treatment. Anyways :D

When do i remove the wax actually? I got my braces 2 days ago, the end things are sticking out like crazy-

You should remove it when You eat and when you are brushing Your teeth. Then place it again. If there are endings hurting talk to your orthodontist. In the midtime use the wax to relief the pain.

@@chochu8 You're supposed to take them out before eating. But you should just be able to pull it off. If not, try rinsing with some cold water or brushing your teeth.

Hello Chowomp!! Use it until you are able to go to you orthodontist to fix the achwire that hurts. In the case of hooks which are Part of the your braces... Use it if it hurts too much Otherwise your mouth wont get used to braces....

Hi Jenny... did you chew something hard? It happens when you do that... dont worry just call your orthodontist on Monday and he or she will adhere it again....try not to eat hard food and you will be fine... is the loose bracket hurting you?

@Major Kelly 1 month later mine are okay! Just have to endure it man. Try putting the wax to help. The main concern for me now is the wires poking my cheeks when the braces itself gets tighter

I had my braces like nearly 5 weeks ago and at the very back where the wire is cut off it rubbin on the inside of my mouth and the skin gets caught in it and it’s difficult to put wax on it

@@fatimasajid6355 it does go away once u take the paracetamol (pain killers)...once you get me tightened it will ache a bit cuz they’ll move more....but if u put pressure on your teeth with ur toungue it’ll hurt...I haven’t had any aches for like 4 weeks now only pressure lmao....anyway good luck!! ❤️
