You could put washi tape on waxed paper then cut it out and peel off. Haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it would work.

I have a very old bible and the edges of the cover are quite fragile, now you just gave an idea on how to fix the problem with washi tape! Thank you and blessings!

I think it was for fishing lures. That or in the craft supplies isle (at Walmart).

How do you get the pages not to curl or bend after applying washi?

I'm not sure. I guess maybe just bend the page open far when you adhere the washi. Then when you let it go it has plenty of stretch to it. ❤️ Hope that helps a bit!! Blessings!

Look for a nice steel spoon in your kitchen. Use that to carefully smooth your washi as you go. Then just recall, some Bible pages just can't handle anything! God Bless You
