I recently purchased a ZT-703 and I am finding it very useful and rather amazing, but it does have some serious shortcomings. It can not be set to trigger either in the "normal" or "single sweep" modes at scan speeds less than 200 ms per division (200 ms to 20 seconds). Of course, "auto" works. At 100 to 20 ms per division, the instrument can be set up for all modes including single sweep, but only half of the display can be used to show the a waveform. At sweep speeds faster than 20 ms/div (10 ms to 1 ms), the instrument appears normal, displaying the full screen (all 12 grid divisions) with all trigger modes. This instrument would be much more useful for what I do if it would trigger a single sweep at scan speeds less than 200 ms/div and it would be very nice to see more than half of the waveform train at speeds 100 to 20 ms/div. I wonder if future software upgrades that will address these problems are being worked on?
