Thank you...i got this model used no instructions and my drinks were flat... your instructions changed the game.

I’ve had one for years, and I don’t make mine like that. I use very chilled water to the line, pop it in the machine and give it 4 or 5 blasts on the big top button (there is only one button) release it from the machine, add the syrup, but don’t shake it! Turn the bottle three times top to bottom. Open gently, add a shart load of ice, pour and there you go, coke!

You don't need to twist the bottle. It clicks into place - you can feel and hear it. If it doesn't seat properly you will have water everywhere. I use 3 one second squirts of the CO2 which is fine for me. Also the instructions say to never put the syrup in first - you can destroy the mechanism. Don't know if that's true but not going to take the chance, so never put it back in after the syrup goes in to get more fizz.

I have a soda stream and mine screws on. There's no snapping or clicking it in. Mine is an older model so it depends on what model you have as to how the bottle attaches to make a seal when you're filling it with CO2.

The C02 gas has volume. It occupies physical space. So when you insert a bunch of it in between the water molecules, it displaces the water just as boat would, except it's billions of bubbles of gas rather than a solid object. Anyway, displacing water in a closed cylinder builds pressure and causes the water to occupy the head space at the top. Eventually it will overflow. It can also overflow when you add things to the water. The gas gets disturbed and comes out of solution in a rapid burst.

What if I put the coke syrup in the bottle before I put it in the machine?

I put it in for ten seconds and the thing almost exploded 😂 it says in the pamphlet to only give it about 3 blasts at a second each.

I have never seen anyone use the nuka cola recipe and use this machine at the same time. Like just imagine how better that recipe will be instead of using sparkling water or seltzer water etc.

Looks flat truthfully. I was expecting to see at least some foam rise when opening the cap. Not sure I want to buy this now. Just being honest.

I am very surprised with how it made pepsi I drink Pepsi everyday and i will say that it's pretty good I found ny sodastream at a thrift store so I scored there with getting it for so cheap under $10 I like it so far. Can't wait to try the other Flavors like root beer or 7up and maybe some sparkly flavored water

i just got one and i like it. easy to use. i purchased sierra mist (non diet) syrup made by soda stream. it tastes like crap. why? probably because it has sucralose. i also, purchased diet pepsi syrup made by soda stream. that tastes just like diet pepsi. it also has sucralose but that's the way it's supposed to taste.

Easiest way is you could buy yourself some sparkling water and still get syrup mix. Just like you would do with orange or other flavour diluted squash and then put with water, you do the same with the sparkling water and then put the syrup and there you go.

yes, for a sodastream. they say only to fizz water. that was the major dealbreaker for me. the minute you add syrup to the seltzer, it goes flat. my drinkmate can fizzy the water and syrup combined. and it cost me half the price. i even use sodastream co2 cannisters with it too.

Isn't that just micro bubbles in the water? If you let it sit for a minute they work their way out. It happens a lot with hot, the water comes out looking white instead of clear.

The CO2 seems to be more stable in straight water than in mixed drink.

Co2 is basically compress air 😂😂, I know restaurants used No2 for cold and actual fizzy, co2 is cold air..fail

The cloudy water is most likely caused from air in the line. It's not dirt - it's tiny air bubbles. If it sat for 30 seconds longer, it would have cleared up. Our lines do that sometimes too.

Source of water wrong - it is better to use super chilled from the refrigerator for the gassing process. Fizzing - super wrong way. Yes, it does make a difference. You popped like 2 fizzes max. Adding syrup is wrong - poured on the wall like beer reacts completely differently. Shaking like a B. Please remove the account.

I make my own pop, by buying sparking water, then adding a bit of orange flavour or lemon flavour . It tastes great. Happy days.
