How To Use The RIDGID® 975 in Manual Mode
Ғылым және технология
When manually roll grooving, the RIDGID 975 Combo Roll Groover's 55% higher gear reduction means less hand force is needed compared to other manual roll groovers. This is especially helpful for over-head roll grooving. Watch this video for a tool demo on roll grooving with the RIDGID 975.

Thank you sir! Very concise and no useless jabber
Great! I bought one for my son's work truck and he's no longer working for me. So, it's my turn to learn how to air groove. Thanks!
Maybe you have a video gouging a black steel tube for fire fighting.?
At the end, I think you meant to say you were using the "circumference tape" to check the resulting groove. Diameter is measured across the pipe, and circumference is around the pipe.

It’s a pi tape, it is measuring the diameter tolerance of the rolled groove, not the circumference- journeyman pipefitter
1/4 turn even for schedule 6" schedule 40?
And after 12 hours you've done one groove

I used to leave a mini 1/2" ratchet with a locking drive on the top while the groover rolled, which saved time and made the effort less tedious. With the depth set right you could bang out grooves fairly quickly with practice. I like doing manual from time to time because I find it a lot easier to fabricate pipe on a vise than manipulate it on a stand while it grooves from the front of the machine. That of course is only a factor with longer lengths though.
Can u use a drill with a half inch chuck?

975??. I will offer 400 and I’m taking all the risk - Ric Harrison
Vic in air groovers are trash. Get rigid. The little pins on those things just shear and are a pain in the ass to replace. The rigid design is way better
