For best results use a pressure regulator and adjust to about 35 lbs of pressure. Replace original valve core with one from a tire it will have softer black rubber seats vs white teflon. Once you get the water level to your liking tighten the lock nuts with pliers. This will keep birds from spinning it out of adjustment. Replace the valve core once a year. Ive loved and hated these but if you follow my suggestions it makes them work quite good.

@ 121 "clockwise to move it away from the spring" I dont think so, clockwise tightens the nut and compresses the spring. Mine overflows no matter how it is adjusted.

I called in about mine leaking. In troubleshooting around 1:54 she mentioned the issue I'm having, and says to tighten the valve. What valve?? Go to 1:15 and pause. The valve is the little pin sticking out the bottom. The support person said to TURN that tiny pin with pliers, probably counter-clockwise to tighten it upwards. I'm going to try it now!

it worked! It took some persistence to get the pin to turn, but after a few days of watching, it appears to be dispensing water correctly.

I followed these directions exactly, and no matter WHAT this thing is still overflowing. I have tried EVERYTHING. Apparently I am one of the many MANY customers that received faulty valves. Total waste of money AND TIME.
