Guitar Hero Levels: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
After releasing the Guitar Hero level chart, a lot of people have stated that they are around the same level, being the high 20s. Lets take a deep dive look at the list, and try to explain what you can do to improve your guitar hero skills at all levels.

Dude, really love the approach you took with this video in response to the poll. Thanks
Man, u are awesome, really. This idea is brilliant and u executed it really good. and now, after teaching us how to measure our skills, you teach us how to improve. Your channel deserves more attention, I hope that this blows up
Just found this, and love it. Been really getting into CH again this summer and have improved alot, but also right around that level 30 barrier right now.
This is such a cool idea. Something like this was done for DDR with Life4, and it has been incredible for improvement for me. There's a great community where people of similar skill level can chat, and that alone has been extremely helpful. Life4 is very goal based and has ranks where earning each rank is done by achieving goals. I'd love to see something like that come to Guitar Hero with song recommendations for each rank as finding songs in the easier/mid difficulty range can be very difficult outside of officials. This is a great start, please keep this up.
Good stuff, I always wondered how I was in actually progressing. So great work!
I love the idea of being a certain lvl player. i'm probably around 20 myself, but i'd love to see more songs added to this format, even if it turns into a text wall. I'd also like to know how the rock band songs match up, as i'm really trying to get 90+% on green grass and high tides. but that one gets me on stamina haha the patterns are fairly simple, but the doing them for so long gets me lol
Thank you for always thinking of others in this community
Yeah it's incredible! I wish I had a song pack of strictly these songs to gauge myself by! I would download that in a heartbeat

Are all the levels in reference to expert difficulty?
Reckon im around 30-35 but ill definitely be using this chart to improve, thanks for the tips and the list brother.
you talked about the Dragonforce pack on another video........ it helped me so much to get better and the songs are soooooooo fun to play
I am on level 8 cherry pie. Thanks for the help. God bless 🙌
i always wanted to make a "rank" system like a bronze, silver, gold type system, this would be a great starting point for something like that. i would love to contribute to this. Also i believe im around level 41ish, i figured i'd be around 47 tho.

Colored Rank system, just like in Tekken 7.
I think something interesting that someone could do with this is highlight at different levels what skill each song for that level highlights. For example, some higher levels were easier for me than lower levels because of specific techniques being more prominent in some of the songs.
stuck on level 22 because of the consistent strumming thats required for 3s and 7s six star. insanely good list and skill assessment though. definitely makes the grind more fun and attainable for people with lower skill levels.
I’m kinda interested in compiling all these and making a pack! Lmk if I can maybe send it to you to give out when I’m done… I think this would help a lot of people get into the game
I know how to rake strum and do some tapping and slide tapping so I’m like level 35
What about the note speed? Does it make really a difference or not on the chart? Recently downloaded the game and have been trying new and harder songs, I'm going to use this chart!!
I'm currently doing 85% on satch boogie. I think I'm about level 27
have you or a fan made a setlist with all those songs or do i ahve to download all those 20 gb for many songs i dont like.
TDWDTG just kills me, I can get do the rest in 31 and 32, just god, that one song

same. my stamina just isn‘t enough i hate it!
I'm definitely somewhere around level 25
I wish there were more percentage listings on there because I cannot use my whammy bar, plus I'm just crap at routing for score. Other than that, this list is flawless and you did a great job with it. I also have a question. when you listed Victory Solo X, do you mean the old chart or new chart?

I'm thinking it might be easiest to equate stars with percentage and unify it that way. My rough estimate would be: 5* or 93, 6* or 96, 7* or 99 I know I've definitely gotten 4* 95s before, but it's just a benchmark, and honestly the difference between a 4*95 and a 5*93 is pretty negligible.

Not sure if you're still stuck with the whammy bar problem.. but when mine broke, I bought a foot pedal to use to activate star power, and reconfigured the controls in CH to whammy using guitar tilting. Turns out it works very well too at least on my end. You can find foot pedal CH tutorials on KZread.
Meanwhile I'm here having level 55 to 60 accomplishments while also struggling on a few 40s. I legit can't figure out my level
Is there something like this for drums at all?
i'm trying to fc the vs. slash battle chart from gh3 dlc on hard, i already techfc'd it, what level is that?
cant do 5 stars on eruption, im stuck at level 29
I know he won’t do it because it would be too much work but I could really use a list of at least the official GH setlist songs and what label they are on hard and expert. Im about in between levels 10 and 11

Idk if this will help but what I did to get better to play a lot I just played through most of the songs of the main gh games. I would focus on practicing alt strumming and getting used to shifting from pointer finger on green to pointer finger on red. Once you get pretty good at those things I would just play until you get more consistent in general at the game. At least that’s what I did practice makes perfect after all.
I personally am not a huge fan of the star-based achievements, as I am and always have been terrible with star power, but I'm somewhere in the 27-28 range, as I have done 96% on Cult of Personality and 95% on One (after hours of practicing triplets) but I haven't played/don't have any of the 28s

If you can't "star" some songs, I think 95% or higher is a job well done, regardless of your SP mileage.
What is the background music?
I think gh great ist hits (smash hits) is the easiest to play through besides psychobilly freak out i have so much trouble to pass it even now after all those years of me beating songs that are way harder something throws me off guard.
I just playread Done With Everything, Die For Nothing, and sightread The Way It Ends. And I got 6 stars for both songs. Can say confidentially that I am level 28. Soon 29, since I already have 6 stars and 97% on Satch Boogie. But as of writing this comment, "Satch Boogie 95% notes hit" sits at level 32. But TDWDTG 95% and TTFAF 6* are at level 31, which I only have 88% and 5* for those songs respectively. So could you bring down Satch Boogie a few levels? I think Satch Boogie is still easier than TDWDTG and TTFAF. EDIT: I just 6 starred Jordan and have 98% on Scatterbrain. I just need one more star on Raining Blood, and I'd consider myself level 29 :D
where would you put zombies 115 in your rating for difficulty
I've done a lot of stuff that's marked as level 25+ but still straight up fail Barracuda which is level 12. I can pass it if I "cheese" and just downstrum the whole thing while purposefully missing notes in the name of "not failing", but if I try to play it technically whatsoever its a straight fail. I'm decent at hitting fast note patterns and regular strumming sections but can't for the life of me get my hands to do anything that is alt strumming with gaps (which is a lot of songs), despite spending loads of hours in practice doing exactly that. Meanwhile I have the stamina to hit all the Knights of Cydonia fast strumming sections.
im not sure if im in the minority, but my skill set is pretty much all tapping and i struggle with consistency/one handing some "easier" songs like TTFAF, yet i can hit a lot of stuff in soulless 4 , prevail and megalodon just fine, so i have no idea where i'd fall on this list, one-handing wise im probably about level 28, but tapping wise? maybe in the 40-50+?
I've been playing the DragonForce discography mostly because that's about what I only enjoy in Clone Hero. I'm about level 20-25, and with a little bit of work I could probably benchmark at level 30. I've five-starred nearly ever song in the discography, and I have some amount of the songs six-starred. Are there any other song packs that you recommend for a DF fan? Not a lot of other songs have that feel of DF that I like.

Check out Unleash the Archers. There's a chart of Faster Than Light floating around that has a DragonForce feeling to it. Might be slightly easier than DF though.

@@EonNShadow Cool, thanks a lot for the suggestions.
Schmootopia FC should probably be level 110
Smells like teen spirit was on GH5
Silvera has a few charts available from chorus. Which is appropriate for the list?

Me fr the chart I have the taps are way harder than anything else in 20s😂
As someone who is level 8 I approve 👍👍👍
I must be really shit, I'm stuck on Lay Down (Level 3) and I've done other songs on medium
Lunar luminance 3+ is the best training song for me right now I think thats a great song to add to lvl 30-31
I thought I was pretty good but looking at this chart I'm only around level 17-20ish :' )
What imho would be really helpful is to eventually have a file where you can download all the songs at once. I can't find 3999 Ode to insanity or Lollorcaust. And on the list I feel like scatterbrain is extremely out of place. 95% compared to 6* satch which requires to combo something from Solo F or 95% BWOLP seems a lot harder to me.
@ghandrew143

ode to insanity and lollorcaust are from the guitarmageddon pack, its a small pack on the miscellaneous page on the original song pack page
If there was some form of ranking system in clone hero I genuinely believe the player base and average skill level would skyrocket. People want to compete with others

If you wanna see laderboards like in osu or other rythm games, you should try Scorespy.

Where would yngwie malmsteens songs go?
This is probably a really abstract and strange idea but what if there were to be integration of this into an update for the game? And that’s your career mode
I’m stuck at the moment, I’m having troubles completing the last songs in every guitar hero I play expert and I can get 5 stars on about every song leading up to those but when it come to gh3 raining blood I fail on, gh5 I can’t beat scatterbrain, let alone get 95% or 5 stars anyone have any tips to help me???
@ghandrew143
2 жыл бұрын
I would say, don't call a song done just because you've passed it. if you are getting 3 stars on the harder songs, maybe come back to them after getting 5-6 stars on the easier ones. if you are pushing into songs that you can't quite pass, you are trying to do stuff thats too hard for you. focus on simpler stuff until you can get used to it. The more songs you have for practice, the better

Slowing down things section by section is your best friend. I was in the same boat as you a few months ago with scatter brain, specifically crazy keys A and B. That section killed me, but taking it slow taught me the technique of playing while anchoring down notes. Now my highest is 99% on that song. You just gotta grind it out and you'll be fine. I'll assume you're having trouble with Mosh 1 in raining blood, which is usually the thing that gives people a lot of trouble. For this, you have to build up speed. A good song that helped me nail this (And fast triplets) would be the slash guitar battle, specifically the middle of tenacious triplets B when the quads come in. The section is slow enough to give you plenty of time to get the technique down.

What VS12 said is great advice last year I was stuck on mosh 1 on raining blood I went into practice mode and slowly got the pattern down till I could get consistent at it at full speed.

I remember raining blood being the fastest song to fail. I had easier time with through the fire and flames.
I don't know man I would put devil below ttfatf, I can easily play tdwdtg and get easy 5-6 star on that meanwhile ttfatf kills me alot and I can mostly get about 3 stars.
Uhhh...... I think we need a new list for YARG. That shit is so much harder than clone hero lol.
I'm lvl 20-23 on this List and I think there lies a huge skill gap
Do people still use this to improve? If so I'd be glad to fill in the gaps in the 60s, that be my area

I began playing a few weeks ago and recently got into level 23-ish so yeah I do follow it. My experience with it as a beginner has been relatively fair so I think it's nice.
i am currently on level 18 because before i forget chords suck ass
AHAHAHA, i'm on mac so the only way i can practice is with GH3, GH Metalica and GHWOR on wii XD.
Part of the reason people are struggling to find their level is because some skills exist in a vacuum. You can FC through the fire and flames without knowing rake strumming. But, there are rakestrumming songs that are easier than TTFAF. You either know how to rake or you don’t. You either know how to sweep quads or you don’t.
How is 6 star One the same as 95% Cult? Cult is way easier than FC'ing One by a long shot Edit: NVM I was thinking 6 stars was an FC but this is going off of Clone Hero.
Before game devs release a chart, they should AT LEAST make sure it's playable. Dragonforce on RB engine is just pure hell and shouldn't be a thing.
