This is not true at all Gatorade gym is so delayed it’s not even funny. Probably the worst spot to practice jumpshots

You have to hold turbo while you do it. Even for standing dunks.

You can also go - up up, and down down on the stick for different dunks

You have to have your layup meter turned on and when u flick the right stick while holding down turbo it has to be a fast motion and then you pull down immediately on the right stick and you will see the meter pop up

Do you know what dunk packages to use for dunk meter on a 6’6 build wit 94 driving dunk 83 vert and gold precision dunks and posterizer

Are you trying to drive into multiple defenders? If so that's why. If it's an open dunk you should have a large usually unmissable meter or if you want to dunk on someone have your opponent on your hip while your starting your dunk meter

If someone is directly under the rim you’ll get a bad meter. If you can draw a line from your eyes to the rim with no one in between you’ll get a better meter

I’m not gonna lie if u had ur pro stick function on dribble moves only and u don’t know why u can’t use the dunk meter u probably shouldn’t be playing the game to begin with 😂

guys im new to 2k how do you go to the gyms to practice?

Do you hold Turbo as well? If so, then it’s R2, left stick up and then flicking the right stick up and holding it down? Doesn’t ever work for me.

Im sure its turbo , you just gotta flick it fast. They made it so complex i had trouble too the first time but just practice and you'll eventually get better at it

Bro I get it anytime I'm not near someone lol make sure you are holding R2 the entire time as well but yeah shit doesn't work unless the person is on your hip not paint standing and not directly in front or behind you.

I have at on default but when I flick up he dribbles then when i hold down he dunks it with no Meter not like yours when he flicks it up

My dunk meter comes up maybe 30% of the time i flick up

Why is it not working for me?

I still don't understand why TF a dunk/layup meter EXIST like shot meter sure THAT makes sense but for everything is dumb they even got it on the box jump thing and I fucking HATE it😑

I have a 97 driving dunk and I can’t dunk for shit 80 strength and 84 vert This game is dogshit

It doesnt work. I'm on pc and using ps5 controller. Tutorial says hold turbo and dunk and while mid dunk, flick down and cancel at right time.. but It literally never brings up the dunk meter once in 300 hours of playing.. I mastered the euro though. Are you not holding turbo when you do it?

Biggest thing I realized is, you can't do it while sprinting. So you gotta slow down in the paint, stop sprinting and double tap shoot in opposite direction that you are running in@@JumpAtHim
