The BOSS RC-1 Loop Station is the simplest loop station you can get from BOSS because it only has the most basic features, including simple looping and overdubbing.
You can get it here on Amazon (I'm an affiliate):
amzn.to/3xx0rZ8
You can pause, erase, undo, and redo overdubs and loops, and change modes between Recording, Stop, and Display modes.
I walk you through how to do everything with the BOSS RC-1 including how to change modes, how to put in the battery, its basic functions, and also how to set up a looper pedal.
I also have this same tutorial on my website, Traveling Guitarist.

Nice short demo to the point... just a quick question, if I record 3 layers of overdubs on base loop, can I delete phrases or overdubs one by one to come to base loop, or you can only undo/redo previous most recent overdub ? If we can delete phrases one by one, how to achieve that ?
@andrewsiemon
Жыл бұрын
You can only delete the last loop. I don't think you can pick and choose which overdub to erase. But I could be wrong. I use my RC-5 a lot more than the Rc-1 so I can't say for sure.
I know you gave an example of the overdub but I’m still not sure what that means or what that is. Like did you play that sound or did the loop pedal just come up with that sound? Very lost on the terminology used
thanx!
Hi, I use a looper pedal with my synthesizer. I start playing my synth and latch the key so there is a sound that „stays“. After that I start the looper. After a few seconds I stop it. Unfortunately there is always a little gap that you can hear. I is just at the beginning and it disturbs the recording. Do you happen to have a clue, how to avoid this? Regards Nosto
How long or how much can it record a progression of chords thanks for the video mate.
Aloha, I bought this looper last year & used it a few times, it's pretty good but I want something better, I bought it for $99 at guitar center & sold it to someone I know for $50 as I plan on getting one with drum tracks built-in like maybe a Flamma. 😎🤙🎸

I have the RC-5 and the MXR Clone Looper as well and the RC-5 is pretty dope. Clone Looper is cool - I’d say it’s a step up from the RC-1 but a step-down from the RC-5. The RC-5 has drum tracks and stuff as well. I’m going to get the TC Ditto X2 and do a comparison of it and the RC-5. I’ll have to check out the Flamma, never heard of it although the name rings a bell.
I just got that pedal today, working fine. One problem I have though is trying to change the amp setting of the overdub to distorted while keeping the first recording clean. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be like that but idk, how do I fix it

The strange thing in my pedal is that when I hit ONCE after recording it goes into overdub mode (so playing back and record at the same time, red and green leds mixed) - when I just want to play back after recording I must hit twice somehow - it initially didn't act like this, so maybe it's broken?

I can't remember exactly but this video should show you how to reset it. Try googling "how to loop station traveling guitarist." I probably have an article on that.
Pedal was working earlier, but I must have double tapped or something, now I can't record or playback a loop. It just pops up the three lights if i try to playback or overdub. I wish there was just a factory reset button. I tried the mode selection stuff while watching this video, and also by following the manual directions, which are incredibly vague. They don't tell you when to exit all the clicks and double clicks. Tried 40 or 50 times, plugging, unplugging, pressing etc. Just insane. Same with your video. at what point do you exit? BTW, mine doesn't seem to behave the same as yours. perhaps it is just hooped.
