How to Use Sun-In without Damaging Your Hair | Tips for Using Sun Bum & Go Blonder on Brown Hair

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

So my hair is naturally a mousy brown color (cute right?.... WRONG) I love the way my hair looks when its blonde from highlights, especially around my face. I feel like it brightens up my entire look and makes me look better without and without makeup. However I also have really thin hair and not much of it, so I really can't afford the damage. I felt like I had to choose, blonde hair that was damaged and even thinner than usual or go natural and have healthier hair. I started using the John Frieda Go Blonder on my roots to see how it would lighten my hair and what damage it would cause.
In this video I'll discuss my results after 6 months of using Go Blonder and Sun Bum. I'll give my methods and tips for using this products without damaging your hair and what results you can expect if you have brown hair like me. I'll also review the difference in my hair with these hydrogen peroxide based products as compared to salon highlights.
Watch the video for complete details and be sure to subscribe for other beauty product reviews and experiments.
Here are the products I'll be discussing:

    You are so a beautiful gorgeous woman!!! I just wanted to share a tip that might be helpful I recently learned about matching foundation to skin tone. I think we have really similar natural coloring. I did not realize that peach colored foundation was a thing and definitely looks best on me. Pink did not look right on me at all. Yellow looked closer but not quite right. Peach is a n undertone that works perfectly. I wonder if you might want to give it a try!!! I’m going to use all your sun-in tips and tricks. Don't forget to flip your hair upside down to get the back and underneath. Then leave your hair down and go spend a few hours in the sun, or Blow dry thoroughly on high heat and then style as usual. Be sure to wash and condition well that evening 😊

  • @TwistedRootsMelody

    @TwistedRootsMelody

    3 ай бұрын

    @fuhrfhrei3441 you need to also be using a purple shampoo to counter the brassiness. You'll find it anywhere that sells shampoo and/or lighterner. Wash like normal but let it sit in your hair for 5 minutes once or twice a week. Lots of brands make purple shampoo, get one that looks dark. Don't let it sit in your hair long enough to dry because it can tint your hair slightly purple if you over do it, but it's not permanent and will fade. Also, the spray is meant to work very gradually. Using every day is too much and not recommended. Only once or twice a week and wash between uses.

I tried my best not to spray the sunbum on my already color treated hair and exclusively sprayed it on my roots (no more than once a week), until they lightened up. Once my roots were lightened, I spread out the treatments to only once maybe twice a month, still focusing mainly on my roots as they grow out. Thanks for watching!
