How to use Seretide Diskus inhaler
How to use Seretide Diskus or similar inhalers. A demonstration of the inhaler technique. You would need to turn the disk completely open, by pulling at the notch on one side. This will expose a small lever that you would then press until it clicks. Now the inhaler is ready to be used. You would empty your lungs of air, then breathe in forcefully and deeply from the inhaler, trying to hold your breath at the end for up to 10 seconds. The disk is then turned back to the closed position.
Seretide contains fluticasone (an inhaled corticosteroid) and salmeterol (a bronchodilator). It is generally prescribed for asthma or COPD.

Thanks. Your demonstration in English is a lot more useful than explaining to me in a language I speak only a little of (Thai) but do not understand well. Only downside I can see first glance is price. Prescribed at a non-government hospital in Bangkok one disk of 60 doses (50/250 mcg) is THB1707 = USD47. What a shock after India where ten years ago a pulmonologist in India prescribed something for the purpose in standard format, but not made in USA, at a fraction of this price.

Hello Doctor, I haven't used my seretide diskus inhaler for months. I still have one that's already been opened and used 6 months ago (there are still 35 puffs left on it), can I still use it today if I need to? Is it still safe to use it?
Is it normal that its powder and not air like the other one?
I get a terrible sore throat and hoarseness from Advair. I’m using it as you’ve demonstrated and also rinsing my mouth out afterwards. I’m so frustrated. Any suggestions?
