5:28 , on Android you can swipe right from the bottom right of your screen, or activate Google Assistant in some way. Then click on "Search Screen", which will scan the text on your screen and make it selectable. You can then select the Korean text, then click the Google Translate popup that appears (same popup that shows Copy etc.). This way, you can translate the Korean text to English.

Any tips on how to search for escalators or elevators in the subway? Travelling with luggages is very challenging.

You can upload naver map already in english at your home country before travellung, works very well without any extra manoeuvres. 😉

Hello! Thanks for this video. Can you do a tutorial on how to use the Kakao map pls?

Naver and kakao map are commonly uesd map among Koreans, they provides many optimised service and like search engine, email, sns chat, map, foods, transportations, they build up strong local platforms for many years, you can use them with Korean language only, it is not a good things for foreigners. As for google map, it is good in Korea but not competitive with Naver and Kakao now but gains its market share one by one.

I am finding so success in using phone numbers to find locations. It worked once for me and never again. Any ideas,it would be so helpful

In relation to bus routes, would I be able to see my current location on a real time basis (just so I know when I'm supposed to alight) if I were to click on the bus# in Naver map? I understand that in places like Busan, the announcements onboard the bus are in Korean. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you have location services enabled for Naver Maps, you will be able to see your position in real time. This works well on buses but not the metro because you're underground.
