Today I found an old Ipad 2 and was looking for using it as 2nd monitor for same puprose. I hope it will work for me too. Guess it will be convenient for placing there references and other things.

when i conected all it shows on my laptop is phone link instead of second monitor even in settings it doesnt show up

It is doings screen mirroring in my case instead of extended display
I'm so confused, it said that there was an error when installing it. And then it said to download iTunes and I did that and it still wont work. Help would be appreciated, please.
You didn't tell us we need iTunes to use it
if your on mac (especially newer ones) it most likely can do this without any apps

It uses 20% of my ryzen 9500x
