How to Use Discord with Your PS5 Console! (Easy) | SCG

*NOTE ABOUT NEW DISCORD PS5 UPDATE*
The new update that just released (2/1/2022) is the first between Discord and PS5 but it only allows your game activity to be viewed by players on Discord. Unfortunately, there still isn't a way to link Discord audio directly via a Discord app or chat feature on PS5. The method I show in this video is still the only way to integrate Discord audio with PS5 audio as of yet. If a new update releases allowing for Discord chat directly on PS5 I will update this tutorial.
In today's video I'll be showing you how to use Discord game chat with your PlayStation 5 console. While there isn't a way to download a Discord application to your PS5, there are a few other methods we can use to get Discord to work with our PS5. If you have a Windows computer, it's possible to send PS5 audio to your PC and have it play alongside Discord chat audio. I'll also be showing you how to use the PS5's web browser application to view your Discord servers and messages. Although both of these methods aren't the same as downloading a Discord application on PS5, they make it a little easier to use voice and text chat features that Discord does so well.

does it affect the audio quality?
I use ps5 and have a laptop. I don’t use my controller though. I have a jack for the usb to add up to 5 ports. Cause I use mouse and keyboard on my ps5. So how could I do this?
I get white noise and my voice Echos for back to me? Am I doing something wrong and is there a fix
When i plug the aux cable in it does not show up in my sound settings. Need Help ASAP!!

Hopefully this works for me. I have an Elgato 4k 60 pro card that can't pick up game chat because of the HDMI audio. I'm using Astro a40s tr pros for headset

Does nothing for Phone and PS5
I just tried the 3.5mm jack method and it works. I've been looking for a way to get console audio to my computer because I want to be able to play on my console and talk to my friends on discord. In the past, I've had to stick my airpods inside my headphones for this, but this makes things much better.

Just download a ps remote play and you will hear both. The only downside about this is that you have to plug usb cable in to your controler and pc
can we do same using MacBook?

There is no way that I know of to get MacBooks to connect and listen to a line-in connection

mostly all the same steps, if you cant find a specific window you see in the video, look up how to access it on windows 11. you should be fine.
