    I speak from my own experience. I had totally lost my hair on the front. I immediately started using Dermaroller 1.5cm 2 times a week in combination with minoxidil 5%, put immeidately after passing the dermis roller. I have been performing this maneuver for 3 years now, and my hair has returned healthy.

Many claim that the Dermaroller that can stimulate the most is 1.5. This is because when we go to use it, in reality the tip does not enter completely, so you risk using a small Dermaroller and not going to stimulate in the right way. Sorry for my English

    Hey man! Excellent video; short, informative and to the point! I have been recently introduced to the derma roller by the doctor who did my hair transplantation a few months ago.. He gave me the 1mm roller and said to use it for once a week for the next 9 months (and of course I will continue to use it), so as someone who never really looked into this derma roller thing, and how many experienced, and some celebs, use it for skin restoration. I have been using minoxidil for many years now, but never did with this 1mm roller! But since I realized that this can be used also for the skin and even face... I just purchased a set of derma roller heads, and I just picked one good head of 0.5mm on my face twice a week. I will start using the same roller for my scalp when I'm rubbing my minoxidil at night! Great idea to combine both, but with smaller sizes, as you've mentioned... My goal is to expedite my regrowth after surgery transplant (its been 4-5 months) and reverse hair thinning from existing hair. So far I see those treatments kick off with a promising start! Once again, great video. GOOD LUCK!! *fist bump*

    Hi! I had a question- you said you’ve been using minoxidil for many years and I was wondering when you started seeing results? I’ve been using it for over 2 weeks now while taking Foligrowth vitamins and DHT blockers. I’m also using a healthy and safe shampoo and conditioner without all the harmful ingredients most shampoos have. A dermatologist recommended the minoxidil to me and before I was hesitant because of all the things I heard about it. But at this point I’m willing to try anything to restore some of my hair if not all of it. I’m 31 and my hair started thinning about 3-4 years ago. Anyway, just wanted to hear your thoughts and experiences with minoxidil. Thank you!

    I was using 1.5mm once a week (without minoxidil on the day of use). I kept it up for two months before moving down to 1mm. I felt that it was too uncomfortable and my scalp was left in a bloody mess afterwards. 1mm is perfect. It leaves my head lightly wounded but only with redness and it doesn't hurt as much. Since I started dermarolling, minoxidil and finastride all at the same time, it's hard to say which one is giving me the most results. But the amount of growth I've had in the last 5 month's has been pretty amazing.

    I assume you're a guy with male pattern hair loss? How much pressure do you put when you roll? and do you roll with wet hair? I ordered mine yesterday yet to arrive i ordered 1.5mm is that ok? what happens if the scalp bleeds? i am worried as I have had a hair transplant too?! Also do you use disinfectant before and after? how long does it take to see some regrowth? Hope this is genuine and not some scam! haha! thanks for advice.

  • @justpassingthrough8547

    @justpassingthrough8547

    @@Supersmooth007 As I said, I went from a 1.5mm to a 1mm. I found I was bleeding too easily with the 1.5mm even with light pressure. With the 1mm I can be more aggressive and cause the right amount of redness. 1.5mm also left my hair looking thin and brittle. I'm pretty sure it was doing more harm than good. I use the 1mm on dry hair. Every week that I use the roller I find it harder to roll due to more hair getting in the way, which is a good problem. I don't do the 3 rolls horizontally, vertically and diagonally. I just roll back and forth all over the scalp until I'm sure I've covered all areas. I can't say if it's the dermarolling that's giving me this growth because I also started finastride and minoxidil at the same time, but I'd like to think it's playing it's part. How long ago did you have a hair transplant? You'd probably want to wait a few month's before rolling if you just had one done. Disinfect the roller after each use. I usually let it sit in a cup of Dettol for a few hours. I saw growth within the first 3 month's. I've seen people use a 1.5mm so don't let me put you off. Try it yourself first. My scalp might be more sensitive than others.

    I would say stick to the 0.5 rollers, they penetrate to the best depth for stuff like hair growth, anything bigger would be for scars , stretch marks or bad acne. The whole point is to get the medication where its needed not go deeper than the hair follicles to the point your doing unnecessary damage to your skin. Once a week and brushing the hair or skin 3xs a day during morning grooming, in the car on the way home and at night before bed and trust me you'll see results.

    Thanks for the information about combining dermaroller and monoxidil. I've tried a few dermroller sessions, but have not been consistent yet. I also purchased a 3 month supply of monoxidil and my dermatologist advised getting the foam version. In frontal photos I can see so much hair loss, but when I used my cell to photograph the back of my head I was surprised how large my bald spot was and how much hair loss I had running forward to the front of my head. I'm 74, so it will be interesting if this can help. Who likes to lose the hair. The instruction say to only use the foam on the back of your head, not your hairline, do you agree? Another person suggests only sterizing your skin first. Seems there's a lot to learn. My needle may be too long at 1.5, so you info is helpful that regard too. I'll purchase a short need. thanks . . . Richard in San Francisco

    Hi Matt, unless I missed it, did you forget to mention that you can't use minoxidil within 12 hours of a dermarolling session (but ideally a full day)? If you use minoxidil too soon after the session, it will get into your bloodstream and cause more side effects, not more hair growth. Also, don't dermaroll before you have washed the previous minoxidil out of your scalp.

    Does Derma roller work for baldness/loss of hair caused due to genetics? or it only works for certain people with certain types of baldness?

  • @Thorn99855

    @Thorn99855

    5 жыл бұрын

    I think the whole point is that our genetics results in reduced blood supply to parts of the scalp and subsequent follicle shrinkage and eventual death. But this plan is a combination of approaches that restores blood supply via injury and reinvigorates the follicles with the minoxidil. Personally, I think I am going to try the derma rolling by itself and let my body do the rest. My uncle who is bald accidentally cut a chunk of his skin off when shaving his head. Now, he is almost completely bald on top, and in that patch where he hurt himself bad his hair grew back dark and thick. He never really sought to regrow his hair, but from what I have seen the scalp injury is a pretty effective method to get the blood flow to come back. Combining this with better exercise habits, I am going to give it a go.

Can you tell me if this is okay and anything I can do to improve this routine? 1. Dermaroll 0.5mm once a week 2. Topical Finoxidil (minoxidil 5% + finastride) twice a day right after shower. 3. Supplement tablet containing Biotin + Zinc + Saw Palmetto twice a day am and pm (as recommended on the pill bottle) Let me know what you think. Thanks!

  • @letsgethair

    @letsgethair

    2 жыл бұрын

    How much topical Finasteride is in that Finoxidil? Applying it 2x per day + needling can increase systemic Finasteride absorption. Just so you know. 0.5mm is ok for the start. I would try to go slowly to at least 1mm needle 1x per week. You want to avoid needling to frequently because then you need to buy new roller more frequently as it will get used fast. My ideal routine would be 1mm 1x per week or 1.2 - 1.5mm every 10 days.
