Awesome as always Steven! Those Karnivool-style riffs and leads are great examples for this type of video, and I really like how you decided to do a pre-amp vs. post-amp compression comparison. Ya don't see that all too often in other similar videos.

Thanks, dude! Agreed! I definitely wanted to bring in the pre vs post demo because it best illustrates what you can expect when using any compressor and that it doesn't always have to go up front. :)

Thanks! Compressors are a subject that can get very confusing very fast. lol. There's a lot of nuance to compression that I didn't go over in this vid only because I wanted to make sure anyone watching wouldn't be confused about the fundamentals. Once you master the fundamentals, other elements will begin to pop out to your ear that you didn't hear before. :)

Is that dynamic difference with the Hapas pickups a good or a bad thing? Honest question, I have no idea about this.

The hoodie at the back gave me a heart attack😹😹😂

Might be a stupid question, but does the compressor go after or before the "amp" if I plan to use it with a different Neural plugin?

Adam has is right! It can go before or after depending on the outcome you want. When I had the compressor on before the amp, it resulted in a lot more saturation whereas when I had it after, it had the sustain but no added saturation.
