Hi. Is it ok to add an exfoliater after cleanser? Meaning cleanser, exfoliater (which is cetaphil brand), serum and then moisturizer?

Hmm, wouldn't do that because it may irritate your skin. Rather use them on different days.

I bought the am and pm moisturizer and the sunscreen from cerave but the am doesnt blend well and the sunscreen leaves a white cast. I have the retinol. Havent used it cause i want to finish the one i already had. Hopefully that one works. Cause my AM routine always peels off when i apply sunscreen.. question. Can you mix the retinol and moisturizer so the retinol doesnt feel too dry?

CeraVe's AM Moisturiser contains already SPF. So, either use CeraVe's AM Moisturizer with SPF or CeraVe's separate sunscreen. As for your PM routine, you can use your Retinol at first and then follow with your PM moisturiser, or as you already said, mix them. What Retinol do you currently use?

Hola Melissa, I just finished up the Retinol and Multi-Biotic Moisturizer from Inkey List. Not sure if i should purchase again or try something else. What do you think? What's the difference between this retinol and the one you talked about yesterday?

Have you seen any changes/improvements while using those? Texture-wise, I prefer the Resurfacing Retinol Serum (the one from yesterday ), however, the ingredients list changes a bit and the Renewing one does not contain Liquorice. It does not state any specific % of the main ingredients, so I'm not sure how much Niacinamide and Retinol is in each of them.

@@josearrieta4522 You may want to look into a more potent Retinol, like Paula's Choice 0,3% Retinol Treatment. Retinol helps to speed up the cell turnover so that your skin can let go of the dead skin cells while 'talking' to to cells underneath to be healthy. Overall it can help to improve fine lines and wrinkles, textured skin, dullness and surface pigmentation.

I wouldn't use them in the same routine; instead, alternate. AM: Cleanser Vitamin C (SPF when exposed to the sun) PM: Cleanser Pixi Glow Tonic or Salicylic Acid serum. Generally, Glycolic Acid (which is in Pixi's glow tonic) is best for normal to dry skin, and Salicylic Acid is most suitable for normal to oily skin-so based on that, you can choose the treatment.

Yes, this can work if your skin can tolerate it. Otherwise keep them in separate routines :)

No :) But if you experience sensitivity like redness or a burning sensation, reduce the frequency of use and give your skin a break. It's important to allow your skin more time to adjust to the treatment. This advice applies to any Retinol or Retinoid products.

@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial i use cerave sa cleanser and planning to buy panoxyl BP. I want to use it on my beard cuase it gets itchy and dry 2 days after shaving. I tried to solve this problem just using sa cleanser, HA and a good moisturizer but still getting this problem

@@enemigosbeber Have a look at a 2% Salicylic Acid Exfoliant which can be a cleanser, liquid/toner, serum or cream. Cerave has a new Acne Control Cleanser which contains 2% of Salicylic Acid, or Paula's Choice 2% Liquid Exfoliant or a cream like from Vichy. Skincare takes time, you won't see an immediate change overnight! Also, you may want to stop using a razor to shave your beard and use a shaver/trimmer instead since it does not irritate the skin so much. My husband has the same issue and ever since he stopped using a razor but used a trimmer instead, his skin has improved.

@@muskanjain9632 Niacinamide and Vitamin C is a very controversial topic. I recommend keeping Niacinamide and Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid or Ethylated Ascorbic Acid) separate. However, when using them together it won't harm your skin but you may or may not see any benefits.
