Thanks! You're awesome. I have the desktop CC on my Mac and was hoping I could edit, not just delete, but change words that are incorrect. Is that possible with CC desktop? Or on my iPhone? Thanks again!!

At the time of writing this. The transcript based editing didn't seem to be available on desktop but a work around would be to add captions and then use the captions to help you see what parts you want to edit. If you want software that does this already on desktop, I recommend Descript. It transcribes the text from your video and then you can do things like remove silences and delete words or sentences you no longer need. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions

when I do exactly this in caplet pro it takes out the audio I delete but it leaves in black screen for the video which creates long pauses and defeats the purpose. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Thank you. How do you correct transcription errors where the wrong word has been put in the text, but you still want that part of the video to run?

You're welcome. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like you can do so at the moment. You may have to edit that part of the video manually. However if you want captions to show on the video, when you do automatic transcription, you should be able to edit those. Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions.

Hi Megan, I'll check and let you know. Sometimes there are a few features available on mobile that may not be available on pc or may be positioned in a different location

Hi Megan I can't seem to find it. I don't think it has been released on CapCut's desktop version yet. An imperfect way of using the video text to edit on PC in the mean time would be to generate Auto Captions and then you can look for the part of the video you may want to cut out or trim by looking at the text. Remember to disable/delete the captions before exporting if you don't want them in your final video. Let me know if this helps.

Hi @KarenBorga At the moment, I don't think you can correct spellings. However, you may not need to because the text there won't show when up when you export the video. You may have to work around it. The ideal would be to be able to change the text but you can't at the moment. However if you add captions to the video, those captions can be changed.

How can you add the text if your transcript has an error in it? It lets me remove, but doesn’t let me actually edit or change text

In this video, we're using transcript based editing but it doesn't necessarily mean the transcript will be exported anywhere. Unfortunately, I don't think you can edit the text in transcript based editing for now. If you would like baked in captions, you can use the autocaptions tool and you can edit that text. Hope this helps

Not sure you can do so at the moment, descript on desktop would be a better tool for this. However a way around it would be to do automatic captions, use that to see the text related to the section of the video then add B-Roll for that section. Could this work for you?

@wheres_bears1378 For stock videos, I rely on Pexels, Pixabay and canva. If you want a tool that would let you use stock photos directly within it, I would recommend Descript. It's a desktop application but you can select the text and then add stock videos from within the app.

Have you tried this with long form videos .. like 30+ mins ..

Sorry to hear this. Could you check that's you have enough free space on your iPad for the video?

Language, I believe specifying a language was possible, but I can't find that option in Android. 😢
