Hi Hus, could you explain and provide examples about e-exam, currently NZ EWRB has changed from paper to computer based. AS/NZ 3000 will be only provided for some questions and will be electronically available during testing session. Is it still permitted to bring in own materials to the exam? Cheers,

Hi Michael, I'm afraid I don't know much about the new e-exam. We are based in Victoria, Australia and as far as i know, we are still doing paper based. I would think that they would allow you to bring a hard copy of the rules because that's more realistic, but assessment centres can have specific rules to make the exams more consistent across the board. Have you tried contacting the EWRB directly? Sorry, I wasn't much help. All the best for your test.

You'll have to purchase it from the Saiglobal website. If you are enrolled in a training, you're trades school may already have a subscription that you can use.

I wish you did a series of the wiring rules from start to finish explaining them in plain english

We have been thinking of doing that for some time now, but it's such a big project and our core business being manufacturing, we haven't been able to commit to it. Do you feel that there's a huge need for something like that? Do you think they should be made for apprentices or sparkys? Thanks for the feedback Michael

@@infinispark Maybe aim it at apprentices with photos of everything being discussed so they can understand things they have not seen yet. However, lots of electricians would also want this as a refresher or they may have nver worked in certain areas. Then if an apprentice has a bad lecturer or misses class due to work commitments he is not left behind.

Dear Gurlabh, unfortunately not all Regs books have index, so the only way to use them is to know the content well. The method of table of contents would still work but you still need to know your stuff. Luckily, none of the other books are as big as 3000, so going through them a few times in a short period is doable and that would be my suggestion. I hope this helps, all the best.

Hi Robin, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with NZ's assessments but I do know someone who is, however they're in Australia so not sure if they'll be of much help. I did some research and found out that the training providers offer the coaching for assessments. Have you tried them?
