Is it possible to mix enough mica powder into white to make it black? I'm trying to just buy just one color in a large jar that I can make as versatile as possible whenever I want to change the color to match my project. I've seen people mix mica powder in but want to know if I can do this with black mica powder or will it require so much that it changes the structure of the clay?

This was very helpful. i am looking for alternatives to Crystal Clay and Ceralun - both good products but i am always looking for different types of epoxy. If you can embed certain items into this clay, can you embed flat-back rhinestones? I understand that the chatons have the pointed back and allow for better surface contact, but I am finding it difficult to find anything (aside from epoxy glue) that I can use my flat-back stones for. Thank you.

Hi SueEllen S, thank you for watching my video. When using flatbacks, use a bit more clay than usual, so that when you push the crystal into the clay that the clay domes up slightly around the edge of the crystal - this will provide more surface area for the clay to adhere to (sides and bottom of crystal). I would suggest making a sample piece first, let it cure overnight, then the next day, try to rub the crystals off, to see if you have good adhesion. The link in the description box, will take you to our Etsy site, if you need Apoxie Sculpt. Thank you. Jazzy =)
