There's nothing as scary as a severe and sudden allergic reaction (called anaphylaxis), as the body reacts to a foreign substance that produces a number of different symptoms simultaneously, and usually within mere minutes of the allergen coming into contact with the body. Anaphylactic shock will cause death if not treated.

And BIG CAUTION - DO NOT put your thumb over the end cap just in case you accidentally have it oriented backwards!
As I had never had to prepare an EpiPen, it was good to see how it is handled . Even the correct way to handle this instrument was excellent. I was already aware of he need to put the needle into the leg thigh. Thanks.

No it can happen after a particular food ingestion , medication or even skin contact with allegen.
Can it actually be done over clothes, or clothes should be off?
