//SUMMARY
Red Light Green Light uses the power of AI and the scientific training principle of Super-compensation to predict fatigue and burnout before it happens so you can keep getting faster.
It's one of a kind and the next generation of fatigue management. It isn’t a readiness score. Red Light Green Light uses AI to understand how you adapt to training at a very deep level, knowing your historical limits, current limits, and potential.
It analyzes your actual performance during every ride, then uses its understanding of you to decide how much recovery you need to prevent future burnout and stay consistent.
We’ve been testing it with athletes around the world, from riders in the Tour de France to weekend warriors, and they are absolutely loving it.
And it even works when you aren’t training indoors or following a training plan. It’ll analyze every ride or race all year, letting you ride how you want while helping you avoid excess fatigue.
You may see red and yellow days pop up on your calendar after training.
Yellow Days mean you are nearing a point of fatigue that could make your training detrimental, and if you have a hard workout scheduled that day, it will adapt to an Endurance workout.
Red Days mean your training is likely to be unproductive, and if you have a workout scheduled that day, it will adapt to a Rest Day.
The changes it suggests to your training show up like normal Adaptations, so all you have to do is select “Accept Adaptations” after your workouts.
Red Light Green Light is now available for all TrainerRoad athletes. We know you’re going to love this feature and we’re excited to see it make you faster!

    Got my first red light today...sitting on my bed now with normatec boots on. Knew i shouldn't have done 30 miles more than prescribed!

    My whoop and garmin already give me a version of red light green light. I dont see “it“ on my TR, must be user error. TR without it , is still super valuable and worth signing up. I learn so much, the training is on point. The podcasts are amazing! Jon, Ivy ,Hannah are my favs, and everyone on the podcasts are magic. I still miss Amber! Bring her back for a cameo please!!!

    got my first red light day yesterday and in hind sight was a good decision and the "forced" rest day helped me. My last weeks actual TSS was way above the scheduled TSS and guess that's what triggered the red light for me. The training time was fine, but the intensity "killed" it.

    Sceptical of the example numbers here. If you're doing 6 hours a week, adding a 3 hour ride at zone 2 should be fine

    Increasing volume from one week to the next by 50% with a ride that is somewhere between 175-225 TSS when that hasn't been done recently is significant jump in stress and one that should be accounted for in your training plan.

    Hello guys I really enjoy the Red Light, Green Light feature. I train using Zwift races and TrainerRoad, and the new RLGL system is very accurate. On days when I know I've put in the work the previous days, I usually get the warning. However, I also train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu four times a week. I track these sessions on my Garmin HRM, and they save to Strava like all my other workouts. Is there a way to save them to TrainerRoad? I understand that BJJ is not cycling, but I do train pretty hard, so I'm thinking my RLGL isn't a true reflection of my training since my BJJ isn't currently included. Is there something I can do on my end to add this? Thanks for your time and consideration.

    Random question. Is it normal for heartrate to jump up quicker after a recovery week?
