How to Use a Wort Oxygenation Kit

In this video Josh shows us how to use the Spike Oxygenation Kit. Our specially designed kit easily attaches to a red oxygen cylinder that can be picked up at any hardware store. It also features an adjustable precise flow control and pressure gauge which will allow up to 200 gallon of wort to be oxygenated with only one oxygen tank!

This was a great and easy to follow guide!
I know you guys shot this video with a small O2 tank, but another video also shows a larger O2 tank with CGA320 valve. You reference both configurations using ball lock connectors. When the regulator is flowing, what does pressure build up amount to inside the fermenter or even the ball lock connector if the butterfly valve is closed? Being these kits only utilize a flow regulator, couldn't the pressure build up to the tank pressure if left open? I'm trying to figure if using ball lock connectors for this type of exercise is safe or not.

Is the fermenter top open when adding O2? Or do you do this when its buttoned up for fermentation?

You can do it at either point!
Do you need to factor in the carb stone wetting pressure when setting the O2 flow rate?

Is there any issue adding O2 through the dump port instead of the racking port or is it just preference?

Can I use this without a triclamp port?

Yes, you'll just have to DIY a carb stone wand onto it for dunking into your wort.

Where can buy the oxygen cylinders? Home Depot and Loews no longer sell the red oxygen cylinders

Hey Andres, they should be available at most hardware stores. I did a quick google search and found a few in my area. Ace and Farm & Fleet have them near me. Let us know if we can help!

@@SpikeBrewing It depends where you live. Near me almost none of those have had these in stock for the last year. Only Lowes about 90 miles away
