How to Use a Warping Board

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The video covers everything you need to know about planning your warp to put on the board and to take it off so it’s ready for your loom! Perfect for anyone who wants to try indirect warping rather than warping directly from a peg.

This was a phenomenal tutorial. Thank you SO MUCH. I have never seen anything involving color changing and you clearly explained it. Wow. You have taken away some of my fear of warping now.

This is exactly what I needed! Grateful for the clear explanation and demonstration! I also appreciated the error you caught and the fixed. Perfection isn't real and demonstrating that helps!

Wonderful video! Thank you so much for explaining all the little things for people like me who have viewed my warping board with suspicion and fear. People talked about the cross but didn't explain what the heck it was and why and what to do with it. Grrr. I appreciate you so much! Keep up the good work!

You’re a great teacher. I’ve been weaving for a long time, but I still wanted to watch all the way through. Thanks for sharing

I have 'graduated' from a floor loom to a rigid heddle so I am not new to using a warping board but I am to more than a few of your tips and methods. Many thanks to The Woolery and you.

I have a bizarre fixation on plaid. God knows this ill come in handy when i convince myself i’m ready for the ptsd that can only be associated with warping constantly changing color stripes.

Different from the few warps on the warping board I’ve done as a relative beginner, but I love seeing other ways of doing it. Thanks!

What is “around the world” you mention when tying choke ties? Not within 36” of the cross but what is the reason for that? Thank you, I love this video, first time warping on board?

Excellent video. I'm. having a problem with my ends roping up even though I'm doing everything as you demonstrate. My choke ties are a bit different. I think the problem is when I go to create my chain, the ends leap off the pegs and separate, And no matter how many choke ties I add, I'm still getting twisted up ends. I'm using Maurice Broussard 8/2 cotton from The Woolery. So it's not the yarn. lol.

I have 3 extra thread ends that are outside of the cross after warping the loom. Any idea what caused the extra threads?

Don’t tell people to smile, it’s really rude.
