Like you Jeep gladiator. I’m a jku owner and most of your videos are still relevant to me. Thanks

Thanks. Wish I had started my channel decades ago I have owned TJs JKs cherokees and now a jt pickup. Built them all.

Maybe putting together a complete but inexpensive (relatively) recovery kit with links would be an awesome video. To include this snatch block 🤙🏼

Some facts to consider, a 10,000 lb winch with 4 layers of cable/rope losses 20% right off the start, then -15% for friction around the pulley/snatch block after all that realistically with a full drum max pulling range is around 6.7 ton. Having said that wether or not you use the snatch block, always run the winch line out as far as possible saving winch life.

Excellent breakdown of the limitations of winching. Thank you for adding to the conversation. I will jokingly say if I am pulling someone or myself out of a bad situation. I am not going to concern my self with the numbers if I have the processes already figured out like you have done here. I am going to go with a good margin of error and get to work. If it doesnt work we get out the fat tow straps and chains. Always have a backup plan. Even when you get punched in the face. LOL
