    Best video on how to use a recip saw! I watched videos that do very detailed and lengthy reviews but not on showed how to start the saw before it touches the material you’re cutting. This video was, short and to the point. Thank you.

    Finally got my tree branches cut using my new saw kzread.infoUgkx84IcU5pbZd1Qrz8u4-YRLmJax7kdRi7B , and it was effortless. Then tackled taking pallets apart by just cutting through the nails. Zip Zip, like butter, took no time at all! Absolutely love that you just push a button to change the blade, so quick and easy. I chose cordless because of all the outside projects I need to do, and most are too far to extend an extension cord to. Incredibly lightweight, and easy to handle. I will be using this all the time. There is a reason they call them Sawzalls , because they literally saw all the things you need cut. Once you buy one you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner ~ Just make sure and buy the right blades for the job you want to tackle. The blades are not expensive, and there are lots of various multi-packs available.

    A lot of people hate on this tool because of its less than perfect effectiveness at certain tasks. They recommend Jigsaws, circle saws,band saws, or multitools any time a Sawzall is used in a situation those specific tools excel in what they do. But fail to realize how all of those tools fail horribly at each other's primary function. While a Reciprocating saw can achieve all of their functions with enough mastery. Its called a Sawzall for good reason.

    Reciprocating saws can never cut with the precision of a circular saw or jigsaw on wood, and are terrible compared to a band saw for cutting pipe, metal angle accurately. They can do everything really well if you don't care at all about accuracy...or just want to 'cut shit'. That's what their role is, they'll never replace tools designed to do certain jobs.

    It’s a demolition tool, @Irvine. If you’re using it for intricate, and accurate cuts in wood, or metalworking, you’re using a potentially dangerous tool for the wrong kind of work.

    @@leeschmitz993 Would a multi-tool or oscillating saw be better for accurate cuts when compared to this. I don't plan to use it for demo but for fine type of jobs where accuracy is important.

    Thanks for the information. I just bought my first Reciprocating saw. one quick question. I have the same blade locking mechanism, which locks the blade in, but it still has a little bit of movement up and down. Is this normal? Garry from Australia.

  • @AceHardware

    @AceHardware

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hi Garry, There may be some slight give either way once the blade in locked in - however there should not be much movement up or down. Once the blade is locked into place - the blade should not be able to be pulled out; if this happens then the blade was not locked into place securely. Hope that helps! Let us know if you have more questions arise from your new purchase!

    Can electric saw use for meat/bone cutting?

  • @ChefJasonMorse

    @ChefJasonMorse

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Johnny, jumping in to answer this. Chef Jason here, Ace's BBQ expert. I would not recommend using it for any meat fabrication, these saws are not NSF approved which means they can't be sanitized fully. Sanitation is a huge thing with meat saws, I suggest finding a Butcher Hand Meat Saw. You will be able to take that apart fully and ensure its clean and sanitized properly. Hope that helps. Happy Cooking, Chef Jason

  • @big1finger

    If you want straight cutting, tip the blade head 90 degrees and the blade 180 degrees and pull straight to you.. If you can't do this with your current saw you need to get rid of it and get one that does.
