Probably never going to happen, it's been expensive since begin of time. Keeps it more exclusive though, which is nice too. But buying it in bulk helps, I'm down to $10 per pack that way, instead of 22.

Photography has always been an expensive hobby and that will never change. Buy the film in bulk. Or, if you really want it for cheap, there's plenty of great options on ebay if you don't care about buying brand new and don't mind using the older models.

Dance Lovely, what kind of Polaroid camera do you have? I own three classic Polaroid cameras (mid-1960s, early 1970s, and late 1990s) and three modern Polaroid cameras (a Polaroid Pic-300 camera, a Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 camera, and a Polaroid Originals One Step 2 camera).

Of course the film is "expensive", instant film always has been. But it saves you the hassle of post processing, transferring and printing the pictures from your smartphone (which is not free either). Compare the prices for phone printers (which make smaller pictures) or for normal printers (+ colors). Is it worth it? You decide. The great thing about instant photography is the experience to get a REAL picture (almost) instantly.

@peoplez129
3 жыл бұрын
Uh yeah...it is worth the hassle, because you can buy a professional quality 4x6 printer for the same price as this camera, and for the same price as 16 polaroid shots, you can print over 100 photo's. Which means you can literally get 5 times the prints for the same price, and bigger prints too, of higher 300dpi quality. And if you really want, you can just crop on that 4x6 to make it look like a polaroid border, while also applying a polaroid film filter to images. So printing your own images is very much an astronomically better option. I'm sorry, but polaroid is dead. And this is coming from someone who shot on the original real polaroids. It's all marketing to try to get people to buy crap for nostalgia purposes. And a plastic lens? No thanks. They could have thrown some real glass in there at least, maybe even an interchangeable lens setup that allows you to use real lenses. But even then it'd be a tough sell.

I loved this video so much! I feel like film is making a come back in this generation. I've seen more and more people purchasing and wanting a polaroid cameras now. Everyone wants a picture that you can keep forever, but besides being on a phone that you might break and never see again. My favorite part of this video is that little hack that you did, I will definitely be trying that soon, hope I can show you the outcome of mine! :)

I own this camera and I have used several other Polaroid cameras. One thing not mentioned in this video is that the viewfinder if off to one side and you have to compensate for this to get you subject in frame. It makes it really tricky to get the composition you want. The film itself is more expensive than other brands. I pay $32AUD for 8 photos. Also, I know polaroids are supposed to look retro/vintage but the photos this camera produces are way more washed out/faded than other brands. Just some things to consider before you buy this camera.
Love your enthusiasm and delivery.... I’m now hoping they improve the quality of the finished image, they’re working on it and with them luck. Let’s hope they can get the saturation as good as Fuji instax mini or wide, cheers again for a good video

For the double exposure, do we have to adjust the exposure since the picture is being exposed twice? And if so, would it only be when we’re outside or in brighter light?

Do the pictures print straight from the camera and develop? What are prices for film? Pls reply xx
My bf just got me the One Step + and I love it so much! I've wanted a Polaroid camera for a while now. I'm still trying to figure it out. I've taken a couple and they didn't turn out all that great because of lighting issues. He tried to take a picture of me in the kitchen with all the lights on and I told him not to use flash because I never like flash on regular cameras but even with all the kitchen light on, it was still dark. So I guess that's totally different than a regular camera. But I know once I figure it all out, I'll love it even more!! I do keep my light exposure setting in the middle though. Films these take r so expensive, even more so than the Fuji ones, so I'm trying not to f up

Hi Ed, when are you shooting with flash off or do you use most of the time the flash even in daylight?
This was a great video! Very informative. :)
Hi. I never can make the main subject of my photo in the position that i want. Can you show me how can we aim the lens or which eye or side should we put it? Please. My photos were always too much to the left or the right. Or even not in the picture
that double exposure thing got me sold..using polaroid 600 for 28 years now!
You really can’t beat being able to hand someone a photo right then and there. I carry instant film and my slr if I ever want to ask a stranger for a photo. They are much more receptive if you give them a Polaroid to take with them.
And they say it’s so easy even a kid can work it... well I’m an adult and I couldn’t figure it out on my own
Great vid thanks
Hey man, love the video and the quality of it. But just a very few things I notice as a Polaroid geek😹 You don't have to keep the film in the dark anymore. They figured it out for the most part so it is possible to just keep it in the light. So it isn't needed, just reccomended. I did however not know how to take double exposures on the one step 2 so love that! And lastly for you I'd recommend to look at the Polaroid sx-70 alpha camera. It's an original Polaroid slr which gives you sharper pictures because of the glass lens. But nice video overall!
Great tutorial 📸 thumbs up
I’ve had mine for a few weeks and I legit thought it was broken. Cause of the flash! 😂😂 I wouldn’t turn off but now I know what to do
