Polaroid Light Painting Tutorial, How To Light Paint with the Polaroid One Step Plus! Polaroid One Step +
Two things that I love are Light Painting and Polaroid Pictures! In this light painting photography tutorial I show you how to light paint using the Polaroid Onestep Plus camera! If you love film or just love to see what kinds of images you can create straight out of the camera there is no better way to do that than shooting with a Polaroid camera! With a polaroid camera there is one true original image! You can't get anymore SOOC than a polaroid picture. Creating a Light Painting and then having the physical print coming out of the camera and into your hand has always been a special feeling for me. I have been a fan of polaroid for a really long time and the One Step Plus camera paired with the Polaroid app works great and it is so much fun! I hope this tutorial inspires you to give it a try and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Hey Jason, great video and Im not sure how Ive never come across this yet. Ive been playing about with long (and double) exposures since the I-1 and then subsequently the OS+ and now the Now+. The avatar on this account was taken using an I-1. Ive mainly been doing light trails but not a lot with model (though Ive done some with projectors) Will be putting more of this into practice! Great set of images, to die for!

Really wish instax sq6 had bulb mode so I could do shots like this 😩 only thing it's missing imo. I'd love to get a Polaroid and play with this but the film hurts my wallet, maybe some day! These shots are so beautiful and look so fun to do.

Super helpful video! Are you standing behind her when you start/stop the exposure? How are you able to do that on the phone without the phone screen light interfering? I don't see any light from your phone in the video. Thanks!
@LightPaintingPhotography
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The phone is out of frame, usually behind the camera or off to the side where the light from the screen will not be recorded by the camera.

Hey I tried this with mine and my model seems to not show on any of the photos. Only the light source of the painting is shown and the model isn’t illuminated even though I illuminated with a phone light. Is it not bright enough?
@LightPaintingPhotography
3 жыл бұрын
That would be my guess is that the light source was not bright enough. Now with that said just simply saying the "light source is not bright enough" is not really a good answer because if you move the phone light over your model MUCH MORE SLOWLY then that will give the camera more time to capture the light projected onto your model and then they should show up in your image. If you want to use the same phone light to illuminate your model just SLOW down and illuminated them for a longer amount of time and they should show up. Just make sure you are not blocking the camera from seeing your model by standing in between your model and the camera while you are illuminating them.
Stacy may be cute, but stacys mom has got it going on.

I did not know that with simple light manipulation, you could get those shot out of Polaroid.
@LightPaintingPhotography
3 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed you can make some pretty interesting images with the Polaroids, especially with the blue tooth connected app it really does open up a new world of possibilities!
I’m confused as to when he snapped the picture
@LightPaintingPhotography
3 жыл бұрын
No snapping, it's one long exposure. With all the lights turned off I start the exposure, because its dark there is nothing for the camera to record. I leave the shutter of the camera open, while the shutter of the camera is open it will record the projected light on the model as she is illuminated and the movements of light around the model will be recorded as well. When I am done creating the Light Painting I stop the exposure and close the shutter, this is all done through the Polaroid App.
@dhoirjulian1260
Жыл бұрын
And how do you know how long you gotta let the shutter opened not to over expose the image ? Like if you would have make the light painting 2x longer, how does the camera know about the others settings to make the exposition good ?
