Handling of the remote controller unit for your Mitsubishi A/C
• The range that the signal can reach is about 6 m when the remote controller is pointed at the front of the indoor unit.
• When a button is pressed, one or two beeps will be heard from the indoor unit. If no sound is heard, operate again.
• Use the remote controller carefully. If it is dropped, thrown or it gets wet, the remote controller may not operate.
When installing the remote controller on a wall, etc.
• Install the remote controller holder in a position where the signal reception sound (beep) can be heard from the indoor unit when the ON/OFF button is pressed.
How to set the batteries and the current time in the Mitsubishi remote control device for your air conditioning system:
1- Remove the front lid and insert batteries, then reattach the front lid. Insert the minus pole of the batteries first. Check if the polarity of the batteries is correct.
2- Press the RESET button. If the RESET button is not pressed, the remote controller may not operate correctly.
3- Press the CLOCK set button.
4- Press the HR. and MIN. buttons (TIME SET buttons) to set the current time. Each time the HR button is pressed, the set time
increases by 1 hour, and each time the MIN button is pressed, the set time increases by 1 minute.
5- Press the CLOCK set button again and close the front lid.
When the remote controller cannot be used (emergency operation)
When the batteries of the remote controller run out or the remote controller malfunctions, the emergency operation can be done using the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch.
Press the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch.
• Each time the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch is pressed, the unit will operate in order of EMERGENCY COOL MODE, EMERGENCY HEAT MODE and STOP MODE. However, when the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch is once pressed, the unit will operate in test run for 30 minutes and then the operation mode shifts to EMERGENCY MODE.
To stop the emergency operation, press the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch once (in case of EMERGENCY HEAT MODE) or twice (in case of EMERGENCY COOL MODE).

After you change the battery, you need to reset the clock. To do this, there are two tiny black buttons next to the battery icon. Use a thin stick (almost the size of a big needle) to press the reset button. Then use the stick to press the clock button. Adjust the time by pressing on the time buttons. On mine there is a time button with an arrow pointing to the right and another one with an arrow pointing to the left. These buttons will increase or decrease the time on the clock. When the right time is set, press the clock button again with the thin stick. The clock panel will stop flashing indicating the clock is set. It took me a long time to figure all this out. Enjoy.

Not immediate gratification but within10 minutes it’s cooling. Then I turn on #2 and wait for it...yup. #3 just walk away and forget it . You might be waiting awhile

Thanks!!

I’ve set the clock but can’t figure out how to disable the start and stop timers! The on/off button is not doing anything, I just want to turn it on and off manually 😭. I’ve set the start and stop time both to 00:00 and the unit can’t be turned off!

KM08C remote. I followed instructions to change from F to C. All it does it make my clock flash. No function works except pressing the clock button. And no where is there a way to change to C from F?

Okay, I figured it out. Press down "up" and "down" and "reset". Let go of "reset" first, while still holding down "up" and "down" for 1 more second, then release.

I just want cold air!! I hit cool and crank up the fan so I can hear when it runs. It blows about 5 seconds and shuts off then nothing. I have 3 units and 3 remotes in my house and they all do this. I've checked the symbols to make sure it's not on heat. I know there's a wait period for it to start up but it's been an hour. When it works it's great but it's a hit or miss. I give up :(

@@EddyG0rdo make sure it’s in the right mode. The first icon is square with arrows. That’s auto, 2nd is a sun it will cool the room, 3rd is a rain drop and dehumidifies, last is a snowflake and will warm your room. Put fan on 4 bars and set the temp a few degrees from what you want and it will warm (or cool) faster. It doesn’t turn on until it’s a few degrees from set temp so set it to 80 if you like it 75. Look at the green lights on bottom of unit. If one is blinkin it’s thinkin. It takes 10 minutes to think about it before it turns on. If the unit is doing it’s thing like it’s supposed to they are both solid green. Don’t expect immediate gratification. They don’t work that way. Hope this helps!

Not sure if anyone is monitoring this channel but I'll try anyway. I just received a replacement remote and the "Area" control button does nothing when pressed. I'v tried different combinations of features and nothing. Also, what is the i-see hole used for? I pressed it in with a wide tipped pen and nothing happened. I know I'm doing it correctly b/c I was able to set the time with no problems.
