I’m not joking but I have been using this ac for more than 15 years and I swear to god i had no idea that the remote control have this many options and can be used so easily. Thank you for this great tutorial I actually enjoyed it.👍🏼

@letty6410, I had to chuckle at your comment. We have had ours for about 9 years and are in the same boat as you. This is in fact a wonderful easy to follow tutorial. The remote has been a source of frustration the entire time we have had this unit. For some reason this info just will not stay in my head but liked and subscribed I got it at my fingertips the next time I go mind numb.

I had the Mitsibishi split installed several years ago, and really couldnt figure out how to control it until i watched your video six months later. The sun and the snowflake look so much alike and there is that delay between programming it and it deciding to obey that you think it isnt responding. So, every season change, i find your video and watch it again. Your gift to us of this incredibly clear and comprehensive tutorial is truly the gift that keeps on giving. THANK YOU!

What a lifesaver. I thought my batteries had gone bad. Only clock time was up. I changed to new batteries and nothing changed. I was furious at Duracell. Now I understand what settings mean. I had figured out max fan and usually ran in that mode. Now the vane was closed and no air. Your video saved my butt and know sir is working. This has been a marvelous unit for 5 years. Now I no longer am afraid if buttons get pushed and I have to randomly push buttons until I get it running. You were very concise and gave clear understanding of how this once mysterious remote works. Any one getting this unit should be given you video to watch. Thanks again.

I would be embarrassed to be an engineer responsible for the choice of heat or cool icons on this remote because it is difficult to detect whether the "round" thing is a snowflake or a sun, if the lighting it not sufficient. There should be two completely different shapes, e.g. flame for heat and snowflake for cool, as they implemented in the Kumo Cloud app for units with the wifi feature added.

The next morning the wife used a different remote which was set for a/c so I turned it off and put the settings to heat and it took a few minutes and worked fine. Now, I try to turn one of the splits on for some heat (all other units are off) it doesn’t do anything.
