I'm not all that familiar with sea shells, but it kinda reminds me of those. I think the asymmetry works for this. I love the colors together.

I love the way this painting turned out! As a manner fact I much more prefer this uncentered design, much more interesting. You just created a new style! Personally I would have stopped the spinning sooner to keep a little bit more of the bottom part of the blue/velvet petals but it is just my personal taste.

First off I'm sorry for what ever you're going through and prayers sent out to you. Although I couldn't be at the class I'm sorry you can't either. But this piece you may have lost your goal that's in colors but they blend so gently together no hard lines I think it turned out pretty sweet.
