How to upholster a chair | Beginner Level

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey Babes, I decided to film an updated how to reupholster a chair video. I stripped and painted the chair off camera. Once you're done upholstering you can add your piping or decorative nails to hide the nails, watch my video on how to sew piping. Enjoy! Please Don’t forget to like, comment and share.

I've had a chair stored away for YEARS because I've been thinking that I couldn't reupholster it myself. You've given me hope and courage now! It's officially going on my to do list.

This came out beautifully! The only addition I would add is some piping to cover up the staples. You have a good eye for color too. The contrast between the two greys looks spot on. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us!!

Great work. I’m struggling how to remove the back side of the chairs. I bought 4 french chairs and they need a nice new look and paint also I don’t have an air gun stapler mine is electric. I bought an expensive material $40 a yard scares me to ruin the job. Ps. What’s the small tool you trim the material other than the scissors? Thanks and I truly love your chair. Keep those videos coming :0)

Thank you. I would suggest that you watch my tools video. I featured the tools I used to remove staples. You don't need both tools. I would recommend a diagonal side cutting plier. A staple gun makes the project easier to complete but not mandatory. Did you know that you can rent tools @homedepot ? for myself electric doest let out the pressure I need for vintage frames hence why I upgraded my tools. I am sure you can do it. Just remember how you removed the fabric and follow the same steps with the new fabric . You can cut trim with a small sewing scissors or x-acto knife. I hope this helps
