Hi, thanks a bunch for this awesome video. With the help of this video (and another German video) I was able to upgrade my T530 Samsung 4 from 2014 to Andrioid 11. Only issue I had was, that I used the wrong Gapp version (I tried the 64 version). After switching to the (non 64) other version, it just works perfectly! All the best for folks like you, that spend time on making this possible.

After trying for hours and hours, I found your video. And viola! It works! Thank you so much! BTW, what I was doing wrong, was that I had a too old version of TWRP

My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.

Thank you for this video! I was able to upgrade my old SM-T530NU all the way from Android 5.0.2 to Android 11! I am typing this comment on my Tab 4 too. 😅

Thank you, I've successfully flashed to Android 11. The computer wasn't detecting the tablet's internal SD card because I was using an old version of TWRP. I managed to move the zip file to the tablet and flash.

Thank you so very much for this very helpful video! I was just about to throw away this wonderful tablet I have had for nearly 10 years, barely usable because it was stuck at Android 5.02 I could not use the latest apps because of the outdated Android OS. I did get a SIM card error on start/setup, but was able to bypass it. SD card was recognized and it WORKS great too! I will be testing in the coming days and this has given new life to this old tablet that I just could not throw away. Well done!

@@miguellago143 As Channel48 stated, just turn the tablet to portrait mode and you will see a "skip" button at the bottom. Tap it and you will continue with the setup worry-free. After testing several apps, ALL GREAT! I can run the latest Android apps and I love my tablet once again, and will use it often. I stashed it for maybe two years out of frustration and was about to recycle it until I did one final search to install a new version of Android when I stumbled onto this video. Maybe when Android 12 is available, I can try it, but can always reinstall Android 11.

Hello, the entire installation went smoothly, but the virtual keyboard is not displayed on the Wi-Fi login screen and it is impossible to enter the password. If I skip this step, a sim card error appears and it is impossible to proceed. Are you able to help?

Ben hello the gapps is not working ? that is sad .. try this install lineageos reboot first to system then when up and running go back into recovery and flash gapps see if that works do a advanced wipe - select dalvik system cache data then wipe

The former did not give any error, however doesn't install the google resources. The latter gave Error 2. So far, it doesn't seem to work for me. My tablet does not have sim card and I had some difficulties with the versions you mention, but I finally succeeded using these specific ones: Odin3_v3.14.4, then twrp-3.5.2_9-0-matisse and finally installed lineage-18.1-20230214-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi. @chanel48 I flashed recovery file twrp-3.6.0_9-0-matisse.tar form odin. Restarted to recovery mode but I have different menu. First boot menu is the same (odin) and the second (revovery mode manual) is different. Am I flashed wrong recovery file or could you give me link to proper recovery file pls.

you should pay attention better after the flash you must immediantly go into twrp or it will be gone again - So watch video better ! if it goes into download it means the samsung firmqare dont allow it - so flash twrp again and be quil make sure you know whats vol up and down

TWRP-3.5.2_9 not loading up properly on SM-T530NU. TWRP screen is contorted and buttons are not responding. Any ideas? Loading with Odin v3.14.1 using AP (do not see pda).

@@channel48 T530NU here: Was able to load Android 11 with ODIN 3.14.1, twrp-3.6.0_9-0-matisse, Lineage 18.1 20211010-unofficial-mattissewifi.zip, and open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20220215.zip. Arm64 would not load. Playstore works. Camera does not (ok for me). Thanks all

I've got a SM-T530 running 5.0.2 stock rom and getting "there is a problem parsing the package." with some Apk installation files. I suspect that this is due to the software version I'm running. If I update it to android 11, will this solve the problem?

Unfortunately after installing Android 11, the apps (Kijk / NPO / rtlxl / VTM Go, etc) do not work. You can install them but when you open them, they close automatically. Also Chromecasting website videos does not work. Is there a sollution for that?

Hello I have got a little problem. I installed trw, android 11 , and nik gaps 11 core and system has started. Cool, you are great. But in beginning system want to be configured and after setting of language ang wifi it stops and asking to insert sim card and i cant skip that. But there is no sim card slot here and i dont know how to proceed 😞. If you know how to continue to start system. In your film it was automatic.

@@channel48 cool and simple 🙂, but i didnt find that. I solved by changing name of start app somewhere in systeme files so I skipped it forever. BUt another thing is home button works stangly and application button doesnt. Always something .

Hi i followed your installation exactly however the play store does not show up for some reason. I have been looking everywhere to find solutions. I have tried many installs with multiple gapps nothing seams to work i can get lineage to work fine though.

Try selecting a box to type then look right all the way down - it will show a small keyboard .. tap it and select it as virtual keyboard - let me know if this helped

@@JS-jq8pu This is bad .. look under settings languadge if a virtual keyboard is available - if not google on a pc Lineageos virtual keyboard on apkmirror.com

@@channel48 the sim is no big deal for me, I can do without it but I also discovered I can't add my Gmail account to Google Chrome so it can synchronize my data onto it. Though my Gmail itself and others work just fine, the Google chrome just refuses to accept my account or any other and synchronize. Any thoughts please?
