I got you bro just switch it from DEX TO CEX in rebug toolbox after you go to rebug toolbox go to the icon it look like old cpu chip it name is CEX/DEX and change the first thisng you see

@@specialagentbigsmoke6479 maybe but it more looks like a feature as when you look for updates it gives you the option for internet or usb from Sony and that’s still current now for newer consoles. It’s probably a different mod he’s running I guess

in my opinion ur ps3 is a brick rn BUT i have a fix for you take u hdd out the ps3 and format it with an sata cable then plug back into ur ps3 but u need a usb stick and if u want cfw use REBUG D-REX 4.84.2 noBD or i think 4.91 Evilnat D-PEX would work

I had 4.90, but had to update to CFW 4.91 in order to get back online because the new sony update stopped me. Now that I have installed the customer firmware, I'm good to go. No issues at all. Hope this helps.

DEX = deodexed custom firmware, for developers. it's just extra dev options. it's decrypted so some stuff might not work. CEX= consumer edition CFW, what you should ideally be running to play backups.
