Damn!!! Help. I was doing everything right, but stopped at the moment of startup on the console. I don't have browser information displayed on the startup page and nothing happens when I try to click on the startup button. I pressed many times but nothing came out. Just transfer your save data to a USB first that is formatted to fat 32 before you switch to an new HDD but I recommend get an SSD Instead of HDD much faster

will using the alternate installer work?

I was able to install it using the USB storage without getting an error.

What's the difference between HEN and CFW? I'm new to PS3 modding.

Hen is only a partial jb while cfw is a full jb. Personally I prefer hen because it's the best of both worlds. Just don't enable hen if you plan on playing games online. It could result in a ban. You could make a burner account if you plan on using hen online, though. As I do when I play gta v online.

During one of your steps specifically in the recovery mode bit It says there's no applicable data I have a formated USB fat32 and I followed your guide step by step so why won't it update? Edit : solved the problem I was using the wrong usb
