@@majidabdul7586 9217b? If that's the case I don't feel confident to give you a link since that particular model is not on the website but sometimes 9216 works for 9218 models and maybe 9217 models as well🤔... does your unit have some issues that you must update ?

First you need to get the latest 8.1 android to avoid issues then you can upgrade 9.1 android from one of the above files. In 8.1 there is a folder for units with 2 gb of RAM and the others are just different UIs. Choose Ui1 it's stock and without any issues 99% of the time.

Hi apex1viper, i own head unit YT9216BJ 1GB ram and 16GB storage, android 9.1, i have updatet the way you suggested with this video, i did download few ota files because i wasn't sure which one is the real one, but all this files was named yt9216CJ_Bj, after update my head unit becomes YT9216CJ instead, it worked but the google-store was hanging and BT was always ON even i switch OFF it turned ON again, i decided to use one odher similar OTA file to update and turned screen vertical mode, i updatet again and becomes again horizontal screen but MCU missing, i updatet again with the first OTA file again and the screen went glitchy and nothing to see but glitches, the scrren is not possible to use this way, can you advice me how to restore my head unit, is there any fllashing tools for my head unit or what to do to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Hello, there are ways to flash the unit with a complete package but you have to use a laptop I will send instructions in a moment, I also need to use a laptop for the links.

Hi, my apologies, you don't have to, bcz i have fix my head unit and is working even greater and faster, updated from androidd 9.01 to 10.01 and from YT9216BJ to YT9216CJ, 1.2ghz to 1.5ghz and multi-theme, activated sound chip that now is super sound system, it just working great.

@@albinskenderovski Unfortunately this upgrade stops after about 45 seconds into error. I also tried the version xyauto_ui1_9218C_Full_8227L_demo-ota-20200513_HIFI.zip version fails ( Error and the android robot is horizontal in screen).

@@albinskenderovski your instructions are clear. They just need to download the exact file of their head unit. I would also recommend to backup apps via backup and restore like the traffic camera and netflix if they dont have the instsllers. Coz it may require to reset to factory the Android, which is in my case. Thanks again. I can upgrade my other headunit. :-)

Hi, I have upgraded by the steps you have shown. Its 9216BJ. But after update the sound quality is not good as compared with the previous one, its low and bass is also improper. Any settings for that? I have tried setting equaliser but not worth it.

For me, I was using poweramp and it has its own sound processor, I never faced any issues like that. Maybe test it out if you are able, this is why I always advise people in comments here that if their unit is functioning well they should not update because there might be something they wont like in the new version or other issues might arise. I am sorry this is happening to you, maybe wait for the next update and they would probably fix that issue.

Hi, I have an YT7260b (4gb version) unit, running android 10.1 . but my displays flickers when I start the car, after maybe an hour it returns back to normal . Is there a newer firmware available for my model ?

I have a px6 android head unit for 06 FX35. I am having problems with the factory camera. I took it to a professional installer, was not able to get to 2nd screen of settings to adjust it. he even reset it to default. I've had the radio 5 months now. I have called the seller who answered once, not answering my calls, I also purchased a warranty. I went through Amazon instead of Ali express, it was the same company. I have updated the head unit. Car has 2 din pull out screen. The radio has a menu feature at the bottom in base unit that used to show radio freq, just shows menu and time when screen closed. Over there it also says 9218dl and 9218dlj, yours is very risky to upgrade in this case. I am afraid you might lose your DSP effects, best if someone else answers and help with the distinction between these models. Are you having some issues with yours ?

Hi Albin, thanks for this video. I have a YT7260L unit and upgraded gongban_YT7260L-hwok-ota-v1.73.7.zip. unfortunately it's not a perfect file. DSP doesn't work, I found complaints from other guys on the XDA forum about DSP not working in this version. Do you know how to downgrade, in v.1.70 everything works fine. When installing from a pendrive, I get the message "package is too old". Please help. Leo

Hello, the latest update for your device is 7.1 and it was released on November 23 2021, there is no other update for you, and if you have never updated your unit and also if it has been a while since you bought the unit I am guessing the version on the website is very very recent. However, I cannot guarantee anything qs these are not my files and xygala provides them 🤷🏻‍♂️, so I cannot guarantee if you would be able to install Netflix 7.76. But, the OTA update is very new, it's up to you my friend ✌🏻

@@jwhanif stay away from upgrading for that unit you might get in a bootloop, because the firmware for your unit is bundled with CJ models there might be an issue, other have reported the same and only few lucky ones have upgraded successfully. If your unit has no issues don't upgrade ✌🏻

Hi mate, you cannot find the file for that unit since it's a bit different from the ones discussed here. Your best bet is to find the seller and they would have an upgrade file. Also if it doesn't have any issues there is no need to upgrade. They don't bring much new things to these units just a bit of cosmetic fixes and some small issues get resolved.

Hi Buddy. Thank you for a great video. I also have the sound glitch at volume 20. Seems like level 10 to 19 doesn't increase volume much but then on 20 boom. The fix from ur other video using MTK helped me but I find each time the volume goes to 20 or above the fix is undone n must be reset. Does your unit say anything about zlink? Because the only one that follows your screen size is a packed update or something you do with a pc and it is different than this and quite complicated which also may result in a bricked device. Also for you it says only Android 10, so if yours is a zlink device it's possible to try it with one of the other OTA updates in those directories. Where you found 5 files those are for a PC update.

@@raychayyc yes I use translations, and a packet update means you download all 5 files and use pc software to upgrade your device....maybe there is no easy way for you to update, because if you try and update for a different resolution unit you might make it terrible.

@@raychayyc nope, those five files need to be installed separately, I don't think you can do this my friend, you might brick your unit. Best option is to try the z link versions just tell me how much memory your unit has and I will send you the link for the zlink ota updates and if it doesn't work simply your unit will not proceed with the update. Nor harm done, but if you try it with those five files it will get bricked and not possible to recover. Just tell me Ram memory and internal memory and we will try the last resort method. ✌🏻

Hello , I have a 2017 dodge journey that has xyauto j6.6 firmware. Looking to update the radio and make all settings American imperial. Right now the AC shows C and I can not change it to F. Same for the speedometer on the radio. Would any of these files help? It's running Android 10.1

Nope, after updating you will have the newest firmware, although I doubt there would be anything wrong since these updates are fixes to the firmware, most of the time they are better. Resetting doesn't downgrade to the previous firmware. So, if nothing is wrong with your unit, maybe don't do it 🤷🏻‍♂️ for me it definitely fixed many things and the unit is faster, overall smoother.

How do I know which file to download. Also its on Android 9.1 but the google play store is not working. How do I get it to work. I click on it and it stays there with the google play store logo for a while and then it says the Google play services is not working.

I think you might need to reset your unit and the issues will be fixed, I had the same problem but after I upgraded once and I did a reset and everything was back to normal. To find the correct file you can tell me system information like firmware version RAM size and screen resolution after that I can guide you to the correct link ✌🏻

Hello sir 🙂, The unit equalizer is not working on my unit for the fm radio apk too, it seems to be a separate chip that handles the fm radio, if you upgrade it will not change the equalizer in the fm radio apk, I am very sorry, it's how they are made...I tried it with an app from playstore it was an equalizer and volume booster app, it works it enhances the volume and it gives options for an equalizer. The problem is, you have to open it each time you turn on the radio and also it caused restarts on my unit until I forced it to run vertically on the unit like in a smartphone and then it stopped causing issues. You can try some boosters and equalizers from playstore but If your unit is working fine then don't upgrade at all, you never know what other problems might come with a new upgrade.

Sorry if my english is bad butt i bought this device and when i install it i don't have in the seetings sound settings to change the bass level fader and that stuffs only have audio settings that change volume level of unit. My question is what do you think will I get the sound settings with the update?

Sadly, those firmwares are not on the website, and if you do find a firmware be careful, the update might bring about more issues than there ever were before

I think you need to do a full upgrade with a computer, that way everything is replaced...I think I sent some other user tutorials on how to do it and also on the website you have the full packages for these units, the only downside is you will have to remove your unit from the dashboard.

Perhaps you unzipped the file, or you are putting the usb in the wrong hub, there is two of them

Oh, so sorry I have not seen this comment, yes I think you should update as your Android 10 version could be an android 8.1 fake version, tell me the entire model number and I will see which one is the latest. Also if the unit is performing well, there is no reason to update ✌🏻

go to car setting > factory settings > enter pass > key light settings > scroll down then make sure open light is check.

Check out my other video about complete shutdown so as to not waste the battery. Maybe yours is done the opposite way. But still, 15 mins is a long time, less than five is ok for a complete boot from scratch but otherwise it's too long. It might have some other fault.

That's difficult and maybe in the future, so far there isn't A11 for these units, even those that we have like Android 10 are not real Android 10😅 we have been tricked

Hello Alex, the system info screen is only a picture in this video and I took the picture after I upgraded the unit because I was not sure if it would be successful. I filmed the process hoping it would work and then I made this guide to help others🙂. I have also successfully updated the unit once again about two months ago I don't remember when exactly and it was still the same process.

Hi, the UI remains the same usually, for me I just go extra Ui looks, but you can always just install a different launcher from playstore. Carweb launcher is great.

thanks for the great guide. I would ask you one more thing. how to restart the car radio in recovery mode? I wanted to delete the partition before updating the radio, so it will be cleaner. I tried with voltage on the radio by holding down the reset button for a long time, and nothing, removing voltage by pressing the reset button and giving voltage and nothing. ufff how do you do it? a thousand thanks

I have never done the restart to recovery mode and it is quite difficult as I remember, but you don't even have to do that just reset before updating and it will be clean as a wistle. I reset mine just after upgrading and it also was fine and clean. I remember that there were some documents on the website on how to reset to recovery if you still need them go ahead and tell me✌🏻

@@albinskenderovski Thanks for the reply. I tried to delete everything, but I think I did damage. in practice there was always the icon of loading with the little man of android. I therefore decided to try to install the rom again, but it was not successful. I tried with the SP-FLASH tool but it always gives me the same 5054 error. I tried with different image files but nothing. if you have any suggestions to recover my car radio I would be grateful thank you very much 👍

@@salta199 would you please tell me the model and every other info you can for the unit and I will give you the correct files for sp flash tools and it will not give you an error since it is 100% successful in recovering units because that's what the company provides🤷🏻‍♂️ sorry for late reply I have been busy...I will be waiting

I also tried to search in the forums (qxida and 4pda) but without great success. mine and a car radio of the XY-AUTO mod- 2gb ram and 32 rom, 9 inch, YT9216CH - V1.61 32G - A005-YT9216CH06 20191 L22. I try to explain to you what I managed to do. i downloaded various packages on the forums, and some i managed to flash but when i power it up it gives me three options to choose from 1-recovery, 2-fastboot, 3-normal. it says to choose with the power volume keys but my touch keys do not give the command, now I don't know if it's a problem with my keys or I don't know. I also tried your procedure as from the video, but the result is that the screen is blank but the backlight works. I would be really happy if you show me a guide or a method to bring my stereo back to life. if you need more details I will be happy to provide you with everything. a thousand thanks

@markgordon8014 Sadly, for me, it wasn't possible to upgrade through the unit itself, I had mobile hotspot inside the car, but it never could upgrade like that.

Do you have bmw can protocol . My one is missing after update...bmw protocol setting needed for e53 e46.thanks

You can pick a different protocol setting, there are many of those inside Protocol Settings when you go into Factory Settings, currently on mine I have Ruishingwhei VW protocol and I have seen there BMW, have you tried looking there?- Because this update adds more things and it doesn't remove anything.

The BJ and CJ series are all bundled into one folder and have the same firmware, I can find you the file but I am afraid of it going bad for you, some are reporting issues with upgrading and I don't know why, mine went smoothly and after all it's just an OTA upgrade. If your unit doesn't have any issues it's not worth it to risk anything since the upgrades don't bring anything completely new to the table. It's just a few issues fixed for those who have issues, like mine for example. I had volume issues where it would stop at volume level 19 for half a second and it would go louder immediately. It was bugging the hell out of me and thankfully those updates fixed it for me.

So many comments sorry, tell me which unit you had and ram info I will tell you the location of the firmware if you cannot download from a link, others seem to do it ok and I cannot find another way of sharing the link🤷🏻‍♂️, or try selecting the link and copying it into your browser maybe it will take you to the file that way.

As far as I am aware you cannot downgrade unless done with a complete reinstall via a laptop but I wouldn't recommend it because I have never tried it myself 🤷🏻‍♂️. I will look online for cracked netflix that can work on your unit but I doubt it, does it not work via Google Chrome?

Total about 10 mins max for both firmware and mcu the radio does everything you just put the right file and voila! Easiest thing I've done lol

@@albinskenderovski Fixed this issue , thanks. But for some reason looks that my radio will have some issues anyway ...if is not one thing is another .... I updated the radio and after that I could not open any apps , then I have done a factory reset and all went fine , I can open the apps again and well this is normal , can happen in any android device , but for some reason I can´t have a different launcher anymore when I was using "nova launcher" before , I am stuck at stock launcher with only some variations that can be chosen in a "themes "app everytime I change the launcher when I turn off the car it will start with the stock one (I think this is an apple device now LOL) , no matter what I do , so one of the best things of android that is personalize whatever you want is taken from the user on my device , I think is one of the downsides of buying cheap Head units . PS: my device is a YT913A and not the YT913AJ so every device will have some different bugs I think . system

@@ruineves7859 I have not tried a different launcher however I think I tried carweb guru launcher and it was working 🤔 very odd really. Have you tried setting the first UI from themes and then using Nova Launcher and see if it will stay that way after restart. Usually the first Ui is modifiable... There will be another update I am guessing since this one was quite recent which means they keep updating them and that's good. I thought I was stuck with that bug with volume and now I feel better lol, I spent countless hours trying to fix it using different methods but hey like you said there will always be some issues 🤦🏻‍♂️

You need to download autolink for the unit not your phone, then I believe you will be able to link your device, I cannot test this since I don't use ios devices but also my car is not around and I don't know when I will be able to test it.

I have a 10.1 Hikity with android 9.1. It seems like the "update" buttons is disabled, is this true? Is there a different way to update these or do I need to purchase a different brand

Rarely there are some units that can be upgraded via OTA firmware, but most of these don't support that. You need to ask for an update file from the seller, and if you can share the info from your unit's ABOUT Screen I will try and find the latest firmware if possible.

Thanks for the video. I have an android unit based on the picture listed and have an issue with my volume going up and down. This is more pronounced while the vehicle is on the move. The dealer suspects a CANBUS issue and the CANBUS is out of stock. I am not able to paste a picture here but listing details. Hi, yes there is updates for your unit but we will go from the first update that is not labeled by how much RAM memory you have, I suspect the ones for 6gigs of RAM would have issues on your unit we can't also install one from 2 gigs of RAM units so that leaves us with one file, are you sure it has 4 GB RAM? And your sound issue can't be related to canbus. It is probably firmware as I also had issues with volume and some were fixed after an update. The file is from September 2021.

@@albinskenderovski Thanks for the revert. Yes mine is a 4GB variant. Would it really matter on the memory? The dilemmas i had were 1. Is it safe to update? Any roll-back procedures? 2. Given the details, would you be able to suggest which one is the right file to be downloaded?

@@kannanr5657 As for the roll back, I think it's not possible. The memory matters because some firmware is modeled after the RAM and issues arise if you don't get the correct one. I chose a file for you that doesn't specify the RAM memory in it's name, the others have 6Gb 8Gb RAM and 128gb internal memory. If the issue is so big for you I suggest you go ahead and update, also consider this is an OTA update so the system will recognize the file and initiate an update, if it is not for you the system will reject the update. These files usually make the units better, and judging by the specs you listed your unit is one of the best out there. Go on the website and use a translator follow your unit firmware version and you will find the right file, I will also choose one for you and let's see which one we both choose, I wanna make sure we get the right file for you. We will share the findings here, lol.

@@kannanr5657 This is my recommendation, it's the only one that does not specify RAM, the others have 2GB, 6GB , 8GB, proceed with caution and afterwards if some apps like youtube google play are not working you just need to reset. Hi bro, If your unit doesn't have apple carplay right now, chances are it won't get it in an upgrade, is everything else working fine?

@@albinskenderovski yes, I upgraded it to 9270. It works also Zlink is shown in app list, but when I open zlink it throws an error no mfi nor device id found… other apps works fine. How to fix this zlink error and activate it?

@@albinskenderovski thanks for the reply. but the link provided only brought me to xygala page. not specific firmware. anyway, i somehow manage to flash mine successfully. kinda. it has bug though. each time i turn on the radio. the default volume is high eventhough i have unticked default volume in volume settings. also, do you have poor radio reception?

@@kasturiGM default volume is mixed somewhere in Sound settings, lower that to a smaller value, about the radio reception, sometimes it's good sometimes it's not I don't rely too much on it cause I use a USB stick for music.

Yeah there are files for you unit, however I must ask, does it have any issues right now? Cause if not I would not update immediately since some users are reporting bootloops God knows why because these files are just OTA updates and nothing more, same files phones get when they are ready for an upgrade.

@@jayhoward6371 Sorry for late reply, I advise you not to update untill some issue appears, the updates don't bring anything new except for fixing issues, and as I said some users with same firmware as you were having bootloop issues and it's a hassle to try and hard reset and upgrade via a laptop afterwards, stay on it my friend and you will save yourself the trouble and headaches ✌🏻

Hi...I have problem with my multi...actually,I bought it like new one,but bustard who sold it to me(aftermarket,online)sent me something I can not complete,infact there is problem with some aplications,like,I can not change screen,there is no demo video,music.problem with reverse camera,rotated 90*...later after quarrel, he sent me a can bus...and now after connecting it,something not working correctly( showing wrong side of open door and something else)I tried to restore to factory settings,but no effect...I have to say that I can not read model on system info,but on android settings...there is YT9213AJ,so will it help if I upgrade parameters? thanks....

Yes it will help but find ghe right file depending on the screen resolution and if its horizontal or vertical. However, about the wrong door info, you can try and select a different brand for the canbus maybe it will make it correct. The option to change the canbus brand is in factory settings.

@@zsofronijevic7232 info about canbus is usually the same across all upgrades since these units are similar, you have to pick the correct one. I have experimented with those and some of them went so far as to even freeze the unit cause they were wrong but after a restart I would choose another the correct one for my car adn everything was fine.

Hi friend, I checked on the website and for that unit only 8.1 android is available, you already have the best software android 9.1
