Funnily enough the OS that comes with the system may have its flaws but performance wise it's still the best on the market.

Yeah people say Batocera is better but for me half of my Arcade, Ports, N64 games stopped working. I could fix it by researching but its not even official version yet. So its best to stick with Stock

@@Artstye4you is possible to change the images of the theme, the theme is in the /mnt/vendor directory if you access via ssh modification

This is the simplest way to update shown, i checkd many vids but this is awesome. In short connect SD card to PC take backup for safety --- even if u skip backup then copy the dowanloaded updated image into ROM folder--- put the card back into anbernic---open file manager--apps--run update image----

I cant upgrade to 20240428 it says Upgrade failed, press any key to exit. I have firmware 20240409 RG35xx H Any idea why? I need help please And also is not showing any theme inside and I copied the theme apps on sd card

I have a question, once I have the latest os and then install the latest modified os on it, what would I do to update the os when anbernic releases a new firmware? Do I just have to install the the newest os again and the new mod os all over again? I’m just not sure because I haven’t heard many talking about it.

The versions for both should be no less than 20231212. If you’re on this or above then you’re free to upgrade whether you’re on stock or mod.

how did you get the rectangular style icons? Is the default theme of the modified version of the original firmware?

Quick question my RG35xxH will be here in 2 days and I am looking to prep an sd card ready to go, for this MOD once I flash the sd card and its gone through the first run will it automatically extend the drive to use the whole 128gb card I got for it, as all the images seem to be 64gb or less and nothing seems to allow you to extend the partition to use the whole SD card.

It will only take the amount of space necessary to install the os. The remaining space in the sd will be free for you to use.

I got stuck. my rg35xxh already has an apps folder (it's 2nd hand). I chose "merge" when copying the new folder, & tried to upgrade when the sd card was back in the device. nothing happened, just froze for a few seconds n then nothing. still on previous OS. any ideas?

what if i want to use 2 sd cards? so the scenario would be 1st slot : OS+ROMS, 2nd slot : ROMS only. Since I have 2x128GB micro sd cards. how to do it in stock mod os?

I bought this console and they guy who sold to me said that its better if I change to a new CFW. he talk about Batocera v40 do u recommend this firmware? its gonna be my first time using this console and I'm new on the subject so I'm learning all from 0 thanks for the video

I recommend this firmware if you want a complete retro emulation experience. I have a video about Batocera, you can check that out to get a better idea. Psp emulation is not good on this firmware. For emulation till psone you shouldn’t face much issues, you can use batocera.

Mine came with the Pico games preinstalled. For some reason I can’t access the on my PC the included micro sd. So I can’t confirm the name of the pico folder.

Just recieved the device and stuck om ANBERNIC logo , how to fix that ??

Leave everything everyone & immediately backup the sdcard that came with the device. This is due to the sdcard & it might corrupt any moment. Use a new sd card & put the backed up contents. Then boot up.

At psp you are at 2x rendering, if you put in 1x probably won't need the frameskip and the image and playability will be better, have you tried that?

I tried that. I tweaked all the settings to minimal, did a lot of combinations. The performance is still the same if not it gets worse. Psp emulation is best on the Stock os.

I didn’t know melonDS was better than Drastic. Drastic literally runs DS games pitch perfect & that too on low spec devices as well. I’ll have to look more into melonDS.

@@DrBrute7 Keep in mind that the really old standard MelonDS core is really bad. You have to check the MelonDs-DS core from JesseTG. It's far better but nobody talks about it and how to update it.

It was at the time. But we got another update of the ofw, check the github & see if you got the required fw version, then continue with the process(update process is the same as shown on the video)

I did the whole procedure, But when I try to run the Update, it won't open 😢 (RG35XX Plus)
