I'm getting draining battery problems using Batocera in my RG35XX H. I thing trying MuOS, but I worry about get the same problems or even worth.

What sites do you download your games on?

Why does MinUI never get mentioned?

Does the bluetooth audio work on this firmware? I suppose this firmware will work on 35xx Plus, since it is the same device, only vertical and no sticks. I like this brutal simplicity.

Yeah, the simplicity and the fact that it looks like RetroArch just screams "cohesive, one-piece system" to me. I haven't tested Bluetooth, but I can confirm that Wifi works. :)

@@VladNerd joey just released video about batocera and muos, and said that there is no bluetooth support on muOS at this moment. But it will be there, I hope.

Part of the main reason I installed Batocera on my RG35XX Plus is to have KODI Media Center. There are folders for Kodi content that I have loaded movies and etc in. Though, there is no KODI app showing up at the menu screen. Anyone else having this issue?

How the sleep functionality is implemented? Is it like Onion/garlic OS or like the original firmware?

Neither. It's basically the Linux kernel-level standby (similar to how laptops go in standby). It eats 5-6% of battery per hour. And yeah, I miss the OnionOS hibernate functionality too. 😄

i haven't tried tbh, but I think it might fully work in the next 10.1 update (which should release by the end of the month). I'm running off some info which I remember from their discord server though, so take this as a very general timeframe. :)

And most importantly... how is its performance? Are there improvements in the Nintendo64 emulation? PSP? DC?.. vs stock firmware.

Performance for the CFW is blazing fast. PSP and Dreamcast performance is just about the same as with the stock firmware, it's just that you'd use the RetroArch core for PPSSPP. Hadn't had a chance to play around with n64 yet, so I can't tell you anything about that.

Does MuOS take advantage of the GPU, or is it only the stock FW that does?

Nice video! Re: Batocera boot times - I have v40 installed on the RG35XX Plus, and it only took 27 seconds to boot, not 1+ minute.

I can confirm. My v40 beta is about 30 seconds compared to over 1m before . Also single SD is much faster than 2 SD cards for batocera boot times .

I'm using a 2 card setup and it takes me 45 seconds from the time I press the button to get into the games list. That is a lot better than before when it took a minute and 50 seconds!

Your opening is brilliant! I freaking laughed and laughed. Bloody great lad. Score on the new firmware. BTW, Have you seen the new Gamesir X2S? I'm trying to figure out why it exists in a world with the G8 manufactured and designed by the same bloody company. Personally, for me, the Galileo G8 was a mic drop. Plus, I've the X2 Pro so I just don't see a justification for buying the X2S.

Saw the X2S but honestly, i wasn't impressed either + from some initial reviews that I saw, apparently this model suffers from the left joystick L3 clicking pretty randomly. (I don't know how widespread this is yet, though). This seems to happen due to some overtightened screw on the back). Imo, the X2S really isn't worth it + the asymmetrical and (for some reason) way thicker rubber padding on the right side would drive me nuts. 😆

Dude I tried this out and seemed ok until I added 500 Snes roms. It takes 10+ seconds every time to list the games. Its the same with any other system roms I add. if its like 50 roms it loads up the list instantly. If I have over a 100 it takes anywhere from 3 seconds to 10 seconds plus to load the list depending on how large the list is. And yes im using a fast sandisk card.

Nice review. I agree on everything except on your take on taxes.

I like batocera. Working wonderfully for me. Just annoying boot time and can’t charge without powering on. Only annoying things.

mm is a digital photo frame soc. routers don't need displays.

I'm very upset with my console because it can't hold 30 frames in Playstation 1 games. No moo no les 30 fps in ps 1. It’s not very sad that they still installed a three and a half screen, and not 4 inches.

I dont see why the stock firmware cant be messed with. Just give it some different themes and box art and i think the stock firmware would be excellent. And be able to tweak some emulation settings.

It definitely has potential. I literally discovered Vertical arcade games last night and all the controls were preconfigured to hold the handheld vertically by default. That alone made me so much forgiving of the stock rom.

Weird. N64 worked for me. Did you place your "legally extracted n64 bios file" in the bios folder? Portmaster did have a wifi problem though, I agree with you there! They seem to have fixed this in their latest builds, though.
