PowerTrat layout: I figure it out , I am a little lazy and didn't want to rearrange my trays, To make a long story on your main tray do not use Tray #3, Make that row any other row number. Still use 4 rows like but like this 1, 2, 4, and 5 completed skipping Tray #3. Than on the other side start with Tray 6, etc. Also long as you don't use Tray #3 you won't have that duplication issue.

I've been playing since it went free to play and never knew any of this because leveling legendary ships definitely takes a while and I just did the final level on a ship in just a few minutes so this video is amazing! Thanks for posting this it completely out

T-6 ships that are available account-wide should have their fifth traits unlockable to all your account. Having to level up all these ships just for a trait is dumb.

There's even a tab in the dilithium store they can use for it, that used to be for claiming traits from opposite faction c-store ships. They could put every trait available to your account there.

I have some T5 ships taking some dust, because even if I want to unlock the mastery trait, I always procrastinate, thinking how much it will take to earn those mastery points. This video opened my eyes on what I have to do now. Thank you a lot!

Rescue and Search is very similar to the Ninth Rule. 2 packs of mokai ships then wave after wave of mokai ships. Running them on normal or advanced makes very little difference since you will kill faster on normal and get more waves.

I was just watching on some old(er) vids while farming Risa. This is actually great advice as I have to unlock like 20 ships on about 8 characters. Was doing TFO's the other day but this is way, way quicker. Thanks for doing these great vids!

I just found this video. This worked REALLY well for me!

The Nineth Rule or whatever the name of the patrol is VERY good for getting LOTS of progress fast, the trick is to kill as many ships as possible so the waves comes in fast [ a well built science ship for example ]. The more kills you generate the more mastery xp ya get. On a good run you can finish 3 of the traits maybe more

Great video. I suggest that patrol and a few others to my fleet members to farm EC and xp.

Personally i go to the badlands you get ec dil exp and other stuff you need in game. Pick up every item that drops and sell it and by the time you max out your mastery in the badlands you could fly away with 2 to 5 million ec.

I do the exact same thing, Ninth Rule followed by Wanted if I didn't get it in one run, quick and efficient. Works better with simple CSV builds in my experience, not as well with FAW or science builds, since you can just sit behind the spawn point and keep firing. This just reminds me how many ships I have yet to do this with, and I'm tired just thinking about it. Not like I need the traits on all of them, but it's satisfying to see them all done.

Red alerts work wonders too. The borg one takes less than 10 minutes fast mastery. Drawback Red alerts needs to be active.

Heh. Good to know. I always use Borg Red Alert, so I thought this was timed for next week's event :)

@@BeckyYork if you can react fast enough. That shit is instantaneous, once I had my mouse over eng team while I camped and it was still difficult. I think grav well farming was a lot more easier as they don't seem to get to activate their burst.

Search is great, lots of waves at the end.

Wanted (Argala System Patrol) on Elite 1 passthrough and I am done. I even did it once with a new ship and I all of its traits were not autoload. It took longer but I did without any other issues.

I like "Rescue and Search" too.

Rescue and Search is a good one. After you close the rift, you get 3 to 4 waves of Klingon Warships to target.

Patrols are how I level new characters, too. 9th Rule, Rescue and Search, Ruins of Doom, maybe a 4th filler to wait out the 30 minute CD. Typically in a JHV Carrier. Wingmen alone murder the waves obnoxiously well up into, I think the 30s.

My Trio: * Strike at Seedea * Rescue And Search * The Ninth Rule I run each one once, and I've unlocked all the mastery-slots on a new ship. That said, I'm going to try sitting in flanking position like you did on "The Ninth Rule" and seeing how that works out for me.

invasion event is one tfo 1 mastery from what i heard delta patrol are the best to lvl trait

2024 still works (KINDA) its nerfed into the ground but for me it still gives like 80% of 1 level/rank? pr run

With my lvl 30 toon I went in slowly reading the dialogs as first time in. I just managed to survive first wave of 3rd group and then let it time out to complete, too hard for me.

Just stay at least 5km away from the Mokai ships, especially the bigger ones, and you won’t get yeeted across the quadrant hehe Especially important in patrols where you’re always up against the pesky Klingons. Oh, I’m probably (more than) strong enough to take people through patrols on elite mode so would be happy to help out sometime if needed

@@MCStu It was really a game changer when someone told me the trick to stay 5km away from the bigger Mokai ships. I used to get tossed across the map all the time even if flanking, but now it rarely happens (which saves so much time lol)

After you get the V or VI trait for a particular ship on a support character. You can delete the ship afterwards, correct? I don’t mind having an mega dock/shipyard for one character, but my support characters less inclined to do that. What are your thoughts?

Yes, once you unlock the trait(s) you can dismiss the ship. Only dismiss cstore and event ship as you can reclaim them.

on the 9th its gliched on me more than on the majesty wont show up after the first wave and I will have to drop it

Noob question: on my ship page, it doesn't say "mastery-stats-loadouts-visuals" but "upgrade-stats-etc." How do I change it?

Hey, this is totally out of the blue question here. But if your ship gains mastery, do you have to still use a slot to fit that mastery, or does it become inherent to that ship, freeing up that slot for another master trait to be instated into the loadout?

Mastery is inherent to the ship.

The wonders of fighting the Hirogen. I wonder if there is a faction more "nerdy" than them. Every Hirogen captain is a science captain, so they can pile up Subnocleonic beam on us. And since there is no diminishing return for the majority of the debuffs fighting them, the Breen and Mokai are a complete pain in the ass on Adv/Elite unless you have a character that will obliterate everything in a snap. I can't imagine a trash mob in an MMO like WoW, for example, that would not only remove all your buffs but also debuff your CD timers and your dmg, and you have to fight multiples of them. STO devs are damn lazy. We don't fight mobs, we fight debuffs. Nobody says anything because those factions are not in the precious ISA/ISE map where whales and dps chasers go to flash their pay to win stuff.

I have never seen the glow effect on the ship's collectors in this video in the actual game and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my installation or a compatibility issue. I have all settings at max.

I just when back an looked at the vid, the front of the nacelles are very bright and are pulsating. I did not notice that in the game. Im going to go look at that in game again.

Ok, checked it in game, I think it is an effect on that ship, i have never noticed that on any other ship.

Yeah I have both versions of the Gagarin, and all I can see when I zoom in very close is a subtle animated texture scrolling across the orange/red part. No glow.

I tend to burn through the ships I'm doing for the trait. I take it slow on ships I'm going to use for awhile and want to learn them thoroughly.

satellite defense is the only I wont do I got creamed on that one

I guess my builds are bad. I've never fully unlocked a ship in one run.

It's even easier with science ships if you have spore infused anomalies. You can just blow up every wave as they come.

Thats no longer accurate, I got mastery much faster just spamming TFOs, no cooldown now and borg one ends sometimes in less than a minute

I used this method to unlock the mastery on the Winter event ship last week. Ran the Ninth Rule one time and mastery was unlock. took 5 minutes.... this method is the fasted way to unlock your ship mastery to date....

If i had something to say... mastering this shit.. would take weeks of grinding :D STO has become a fuckin laughable BS game. They just want everyone to get to max level as fast as possible... so he needs to buy ships.... and then max em out... AS fast as possible... so they maybe buy a new ship. All this is totaly fucked up lol
