I have learned some of your tips slowly and tentatively over the years. I still have a lot to learn but videos like yours greatly accelerate the learning process. You really focus on the subtle but critical keys to great watercolor paintings, and not on gimmicks. I love your loose, impressionistic style and I really thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hello Matt, just discovered your video channel lately and I am very pleased that I did. So informative and well communicated in clear, helpful instructions. Love that you state objectives at the beginning and summarize on many of your tutorials. Were you ever a teacher?? I have never tried wetting both sides of the paper but will give it a go soon. Keep the videos coming, fantastic and your paintings are so loose and fresh. Cheers!

You are a very good instructor and I have learnt a lot from your tips. I am in my late 60's and have started painting. My problem is I am slow in putting down paint and since I live in a very hot climate, my paper dries very quickly due to the fan. What should I do?

    1. What would be the right consistancy of paints during first wash, medium value wash and highlighting? 2. When to use wet in wet and wet in dry during first wash, medium value wash and highlighting?
