Definitely works. I actually didn't even have to flush. As soon as i poured the hot water in it instantly flushed on its on. I used Dawn.

I just want to say if you have a stubborn clog don't give up if it doesn't work the first time, I had to do this 3 times to finally get my toilet to flush! After the 3rd time it flushed by just simply pouring the water in, didn't even have to flush the toilet.

My gf told me about this. Except I have a plunger so I just pour soap in and flush then plunge. It takes about 5 minutes but it works
