Surprisingly very clean mod! I liked the mod very much but because of that aeon is not my favourite skate, it feels good at first but needed to be modded afterwards, and making aeon to ufs is a very serious modding, not like opening wheel wells on soulplates, much respect 🙌

Very nice job!! The frames are probably my favorite thing about the Aeons, but I can see the appeal of wanting UFS. Great skating too! New subber here.

What the Hell, I had no idea any skate company was still permanently fixing one set of frames to their boots like silly old Roces. Why would they do that and make it a shìtty slow frame on top of it!? Thanks for the edumacation.

Lighter boot, larger space between wheels for am h block with good wheel bite protection, and a lower frame all for a less or equal to most budget skates (excluding pro models) I love mine, just a simple $65 invest for some sliqx sliders and it’s absolutely perfect. The best part about the aeon is that is it a real true to size skate

Haha yeah its def a good 3-4 hour job I had to take a few breaks because my kids. Would prob be a lot quicker with a table saw and a sander!

Similar royalle bend to stock aeons, prob gotta bend slightly less, ive been skating aeons 3 years so pretty used to it but big difference coming from sl’s

Skated my last ones 6 months like this, theyre great still, stopped skating them when a friend gave me these ones a few months ago. Unless your 300lbs or do huge gaps I think theyd hold up fine till you were done with the boot

I think channels are for alignment and ride height reduction, it doesn't give stability.

Yeah I didnt wanna make the boot totally flat as less to bolt onto, my eislers I made flat and the frames didnt sit as flush to the boot. I just lined the frames up with the marks from the ones I cut off

Hey, very cool hack, but isn’t the whole selling point of aeons that they don’t have UFS so they’re really light and you’re low to the ground etc? Or do you like other elements of the way they skate? I also have the bladies aeons, I love them apart from inner ankle pain on my right foot - currently experimenting with cutting some of the plastic off to solve that. I’m nowhere near to being able to do top sides so the frames aren’t an issue for me yet.

For me its more these boots fit my feet better than any others I’ve tried, the frames got too slow for me for grinds though and I also found the frames a little long. I’ve never been one to keep a skate stock though. As for the ankle pain, I had the same until I got intuition liners, defiantly worth the investment, if you have space in the toe area them intuitions are for that or if your already snug the v2 intuitions are thinner

@@BladerMomBecSo great tip! The current liners are deffo on the snug side, so maybe V2s would be best. I’ve heard great things about intuition liners, quite pricey though so it may have to wait till Xmas!

@@BladerMomBecSo Bad news, i cant do this mod to my aeons because i have size 10-10,5 and i cant drill holes for the ufs bolts!! The big "venting" holes are farther apart because of the larger boot size. I have to get new boots.

@@TheShongjen pretty sure my bud who did this too had 10.5. There should be imprints for the receivers inside the shell, if its only a lil on the hole its fine

Hello, Do you think you could Sand the bottom of the boot down so it’s the same height as the raised squares on the soul plate as it looks like you maybe left it a few millimetres higher, I was considering doing it but wanted to keep the height as low as possible, do you think it raised the height of the boot much doing this? Yeah I did this with 1st ones I did (silver eislers) I ended up with a slight gap toward the center of the boot, I put a thin material and they held up great 3 years now but with the extra material I left on these bladies and my crofts they felt alot more solid. Core frames def made them feel more solid and precise too.

Any skateshop should have them, use the search option on a shop or call, theyre called ufs receivers and bolts

Way better than stock, I've been skating other skates that require less modding for a couple years now. I have one pair of ufs aeons still but currently riding salomons until my standards arrive

You must really love Aeon boots lol cause at that point I’d rather just skate sways.

Cheers for the feedback! These are the 5050 balance 1, theres been a few since, balance 2 are my current favorites, they have a better groove and alot lighter than these. You can find them in pretty much any rollerblade shop, if you post city or country can probably recommend a shop

Intuition premiums are by far the best, they fit big on the toe box so a size down than you usually wear. Theyre a lil pricey but check blade trade group on facebook and sometimes you can catch em for a great price

Stock gets super slow and very long wheel base, the shell fits like a glove. Now I have the best groove too with 5050 prime!
